New To The Competitive Scene

  • Hey all,

Been among the most active teams in BF3 since its release and looking to move to Chivalry for something fresh and new. I’m noticing a lot of fragmented efforts with regards to tournaments and leagues. The community really needs to pick 1 league and get behind it from the start. There also needs to be 1 go to resource/area to manage scrim arrangement etc. http://www.gamersportal.com is a great website that was used for BF3 and other FPS games, perhaps we can get them to add Chivalry.

What is the front running league at the moment? I’m looking to throw my team’s weight behind it.

Will be updating the website to reflect our new/expanded focus shortly.

None of the other sites that have been discussed on the forums are even operational as far as I know.

  • Wrong…

    http://www.esl.eu/eu/chivalry for European teams/players.
The signup for the opening cup is currently open.

  • I was talking about the new sites. ESL is obviously a big name site that already existed. I’ll take a fan and actual player driven site like Dark Age gaming that can actually cater to players and listen to feedback.

You’re also leaving out the HUGE factor that ESL is European only.

  • Even Dark Age Gaming cant get rid of the ping differences between EU and NA.

The ESL is as much able to listen to feedback as every other page. http://www.esl.eu/eu/chivalry/forum/306 … 1355847699

No but there will be tournies and leagues for both sides of the Atlantic.

  • ESL game admins can do “pretty much what they want”, including listening to the players =).

  • I agree with backing up one tourney at the time, for now I suggest the largest scene wich is by far ESL, SO IF YOU HAVENT ALREADY WHATEVER WHO SEE THIS, SIGN UP FOR ESL ASAP

  • ESL, yes I was aware of that from BF3. Their website is cluttered and disgusting, huge turnoff to that site.

I should have clarified in that I was looking for the de-facto North American Chivalry league. My team is signed up for DarkAgeGaming and it looks like you guys are obviously the front runners out of the door but your system lacks some of the simple features that make a league possible such as Match Coms, Active Standings, Ladder Challenge System, etc etc. It will be impossible for you to administer this completely through the forums as you are attempting to do right now. Are there plans to develop the necessary framework to do all of these things?

Yes there are. We understand that there are things we need such as those you mentioned to be implemented in order to have a truly successful competitive organization and hub. We are working as hard as we can to improve and implement everything as quickly as possible.

  • Well there you go Chuck, a direct link with the site owner :)
