Where is my bottle neck? The game still runs like a turd.

  • Ok so I upped the ram to 6 gigs, WIn7 64, and dropped $150 on a gtx 560ti from a GT9800 and I am only getting a very small boost in graphics speed, with a server of 20+ players it still really becomes a graphical lag fest and virtually becomes unplayable. So where is the bottle neck? What is preventing this game from running decent on a full server with everything turned off and a resolution of 1200x800? When running the game, only 2 gigs of ram are used for the total system and the processors never get beyond 75% usage. What are the best settings for the graphics card and or in game settings to make this playable without visually looking like a turd? I have tried many different settings and cannot find any good compromises. Or do I just have to do a total upgrade?

  • I would take a gander at the CPU being the reason.
