NEW Game Modes



  • Hello everyone, here are my new game mode ideas, I hope it will be fun and interesting for you guys, feel free to discuss or add your suggestions:

    RED COLOR - New game modes
    GRAY COLOR - FFA cons
    BLUE COLOR - New mode rules and features

    Last Man Standing / Mountain King

    Well there is FFA mode in which you respawn in seconds but in my opinion FFA has some real big cons:
    -on little maps like “arena” it’s a complete massacre and a random weapon swing party.
    -luck dependance is greater than in other modes, because often you get in 1v2 and there is no teammate that can help you out.
    -No matter how many kills you get you’ll die soon or later because there is not enough space or time to regenerate.
    -Payers who like defensive playstyle have less chance to win FFA because nukers with 2h weapons get more kills and no one cares how many times they died, they’ll just respawn.

    So Last Man Standing mode will be like FFA but without respawn. Everyone will be for their own but after some time only few will remain, so players will be able to regenerate and in the end the last man alive win of course. Both defensive and offensive paystile will have equal chances to win the game. So rules of this game mode will be the following:

    -1 Round/3 Minutes (If within the 3 minutes more than 1 player remain alive, winner will be the player alive with most points)
    -No teams, all on their own (like in FFA)
    -No respawn

    Escort

    There can be three types of escort modes, which one is better you decide:

    Version 1.

    -Defending team is escorting the caravan consisting of 10 camels/10 Merchants and they must bring to the destination point at least one alive.
    -15 minutes gametime, if time runs out and camels/merchants are not at destination point defending team loses.
    (Time and camel/merchant numbers can vary)

    Version 2.

    -Defending team is escorting VIP (King, Stewart, Royal Family Member, etc.) and attacking team must destroy the wagon and kill the VIP / Defending team is escorting imprisoned warlord and attacking team must destroy the wagon and free the VIP.
    -King/Warlord will be playable;
    -at least one man must drive the wagon, if driver is killed wagon stops moving.
    -15 minutes gametime, if time runs out and VIP is not at destination point defending team loses.

    Version 3.

    -In the beginning wagon full of treasure/important information stands in the middle of the map.
    -Both teams are heading to claim the wagon.
    -Wagon is pushable from both sides.
    -Winner will be the team which brings wagon to their destination point, or at which team’s base will be the wagon closer within 15 minutes (time can vary).

    I’ll update this topic if some more game modes or their features will come to my mind ;)



  • I just wanted to comment on your new game mode ideas.

    First on your opinion of FFA. I am a defensive player. I have no problem regenerating during an FFA, even on the Arena map. Fighting 2v1 is a talent you will have to learn and get used to. 2h Nukers? Please learn to block multiple swings that are incoming, use your kick and learn to parry-reposte. This is a game that is skill based, thus it requires as much to do well. I am a decent player at best, But going 34-3 isnt that difficult in a Arena FFA as a Defensive player.

    Your Camel and Cart modes sound interesting. Unless someone can get into the cart after the initial driver dies… I think its a horrible idea. The cart should just be pushable.

    The idea of the treasure in the middle, and the cart going both ways… I love that idea. It would be great. So long as their are multiple spawn locations. Once the cart gets so far on one side, it will be over as the winning team will have to run a shorter distance.

    Just my two cents.

    I think you understoond some things in my topic wrong my friend. I wast trying to say that in FFA more players die faster from the hands of 2h nukers than from players with shields and becasue there is respawn it leads to the advantage of the 2 nuker and I’m not saying that I have problems handling them ;)
    By driving I meant that one player will get in to the wagon by pressing the “I” button and wagon will start to move (well no one pushes wagons with horses ;)) it’ll be just alternate form of pushing, player is not controlling the wagon, it moves automatically. After “driver” dies other players will be able to get in to the wagon of course. There will be also one slot next to the driver for archers.
    About the version 3 escort respawn, there will be option like in existing scenarios like push F1 to spawn at the nearest location f.e.

    I’m liking this one; from my understanding of your idea, it’s an ambush type scenario?

    This has fired up my imagination: visions of the Hospitaller Order of St. John defending the road to Jerusalem; the enemy charging down rolling sand dunes, shouts of keep those camels moving!…. enough of this, I need to get a life but seriously I could see this working

    The only downside I can see is the map not being big enough to do the concept justice and the camels would look a bit daft walking at a snails pace considering the peril that they are in. That said; I’ve just developed a strong desire to kill a camel so yeah stick with the camels.
