Counterspam



  • Every weapon needs its own unique recovery time or face a cost of extra stamina. If you allow your player to recover before this or perform a combo before tapping the hell out of an attack button, stamina drain is as usual. Call the extra stamina drain Spamina. That part was a joke.

    Stamina drain for landing an attack needs to be added. It makes no sense that a miss burns stamina and a hit doesnt or very little.



  • Every weapon already has its own unique recovery time. Combo attacks add an additional 10% stamina drain to the attack, even if the attack lands, whereas throwing an attack without comboing will only drain stamina if it misses.

    Stamina drain is pretty high on missed swings and blocks specifically to encourage a more precise playstyle and reduce spamming. Adding stamina drain when your hit lands would just slow fights down as players will wait to regenerate stamina far more frequently, while the people who truly do spam won’t suffer any more penalty than they do now.
