Can I run this game??

  • Can you tell me if I can play this game i have been wanting this game for so long and i can finally get it but I don’t know if i can play plz help me!

    Operating System: Windows 7 Professional 64-bit (6.1, Build 7601)
    Processor: Intel® Core™2 Duo CPU T5800 @ 2.00GHz (2 CPUs)
    Memory: 2048MB RAM
Graphics Card: NVIDIA GeForce 9600M GS
    DirectX Version: DirectX 11

  • Sadly no you can’t play this game with your system. Both your Graphic Card and CPU don’t meet minimum specs.

    Minimum:

    OS: Windows XP
Processor: Intel Core 2 Duo 2.4 GHz or AMD Athlon X2 2.7 GHz
    Memory: 2 GB RAM
Graphics: ATI Radeon 3870 or higher, Nvidia GeForce 8800 GT or higher. 512MB VRAM.

  • cant my nvidia work tho it is higher then the minimum i got exactly 2 gb of ram and my computer is a better than xp all i need is the processor

  • Your card:

    Where it needs to be:
    http://www.videocardbenchmark.net/video … GT&id=1279

Your card needs to double in performance to meet minimum specs.

Just confirming this is a laptop correct?

  • yes labtop and so my nvidia need to be updated ALOT and is there anyway i can get it cheep if it costs money or where can i update or something

  • Unfortunately most laptop hardware(aside from ram) can’t be upgraded.I’d recommend building a budget gaming PC, so it will be easily upgradeable over years of play. Laptops price to power for gaming is very bad, and they generally are left behind when newer games come out.

  • i would do that but i don’t really want to spend a few hundred $ on a new laptop. first off i don’t got that much and my parents wont by me a new one until this one is probably long gone. and i dont want to spend a few hundred for 1 game even though i REALY want this game

Just to be clear. I suggested to build a new Desktop. I never recommend getting a gaming laptop. I prefer, awesome desktop with a cheap laptop only used for portability. And if you aren’t a gamer, then it completely makes sense to not spend the money. I for one, have a gaming desktop because I am a gamer, and play a ton of games that come out. So if its not in the cards for you now, I hope someday it will be, to see you out on the battlefield.

  • ill start saving up some money and could u give me website were i could make an awsome desktop/laptop

  • I prefer ordering the parts and building it myself. It saves a lot of money and you get exactly what you ordered. I linked to examples of where to look for parts to buy. Just did a google search for “2012 budget pc build”. And these two were ones that caught my eye. I prefer the first one because I am an intel guy. But lists like this are a good starting point. Then you read reviews and benchmarks about the hardware and start seeing what else is equal to it, but may be cheaper in price.

If you would like to learn about computer hardware, this is a fun way to do it. I loved researching for my first desktop. You learn so much, when you finally get it built you feel a sense of accomplishment. Also there are a ton of youtube videos on how to build a computer so take a look and see if you think you can handle it, but tbh its not bad. Check Newegg for parts, and also other retailers for best prices.

I can’t recommend a “build it for you site”, because I am never happy with their prices, plus idk how reliable they are.

(two notes: 1 get atleast 1600MHZ ram, the destructoid uses 1333MHZ. And two go with corsair Power supply)

  • a total of $776.88 this is gunna take a long time

  • It’s just a starting point for research. But expect to pay at least around $650. Throughout high school I didn’t game on PC for this reason. It was when I was in college, and had a job, that I was able to starting gaming. So I hope you find a way to achieve your goal!

  • im kinda looking for is a laptop to take to friends houses and stuff and i was looking at alienware until i saw price of them ill keep searching but do you no any other games like this

  • The original source mod. Age Of Chivalry

    http://store.steampowered.com/app/17510/

It is pretty much an unpolished, less tight feeling version of Chiv:MW. The graphics are a little dated, but look fine. The hit detection and combat is superior in Chiv:MW. But the Age of Chiv is a nice free alternative with much lower system req’s. Give it a shot. It’s free! Oh and there are still plenty of servers last time I checked.

  • what bout war of roses?

    what bout war of roses?

General consensus is it is no match for chiv. The player base is near dead, meanwhile chiv gets over 7k players on peak hours. There is a good comparison video that Total Biscuit did. But you run into the same system req problem. That game requires higher settings as well.
