[WEP] HEXEN's Weapon/Class Tactics Videos

  • I’ll be updating this thread every time I roll out another Tactics video on a specific weapon for a specific class. Thanks for watching fella’s and good luck!

    FYI
The latest patch renders many of these videos irrelevant. Many of the little tips and tricks were based on how the game played prior to the latest patch that was introduced.

  • Thanks to you I smash and crush skulls with the hammer all day looong. HEAAAGH! Glorious videos you make, buddy!

  • Great video, I have a question about ‘matrixing’ - in what situations do you crouch and look up at the sky? Why up at the sky and not down at the ground?

  • @Bloodhead:

You’re pulling your upper torso away from your opponent when you lean backwards. This causes your opponents strike to miss but allows you to deliver the release of your own attack as they’re recovering from theirs.

Play by play goes somewhat like this:

1.Opponent attacks with a stab or slash
2.You crouch and lean backwards, pulling your body away from his strike
3.You’re opponent misses as you begin your own attack
4.You stand and bring your vision back to center and connect with the release of your strike

It’s REALLY tough to pull off consistently and will take practice, but it’s awesome when it works.

  • You show only very advantage part from combat
You are never alone against 1 man

I am interesting to see how you duel or fight alone against 2 or 3 people

I usually don’t include dueling footage in these videos because it’s more just standard and starter tips and strategies. But there are several times in both the tactics and conclusion video where I’m facing off against 1-2 people, or, multiple people consecutively.

    Thanks for watching mate! :)

  • Nice videos, they are educational as well as entertaining! Kudos.

  • Hey Hexen! I just wanted to say I’m a big fan of your videos. Nobody else in the Chiv Youtube community has achieved the great a balance of humor and personality as well as great information on the weapons and tactics. I always look forward to your content. Keep up the good work!

  • The war axe doesn’t get as much spotlight as I think it should… Dane axe usually hogs all the glory.

Yet I almost never use the dane axe (when I use an axe lol) and use the war axe :P

Verrrry good tactic with all weapons really, i would say ESPECIALLY the spear. Since you can get out of the way of attacks WHILE keeping distanced, i land so many hits doing this. It is hard to pull off, but once you do it a few times it becomes second nature. Its particularly effective with spear IMO because the spear is very illusive in the fact that most people don’t know JUST HOW FAR it can reach. They think they can swing and back up to get out of range, but i usually JUST poke them with the tip and get the damaging blows off while doing this tactic. Then its usually only 1 more poke from DEAD!

  • Hexen, your videos are great. So are your Ahnold impressions. :)

“Oh, this guy thinks he’s hot stuff, he needs to cool off. Here you go, cool off buddee!”
kicks enemy vanguard off huge cliff into a watery death below
    “Bwahawhahawkhahahaughhaw!!!”

  • Vanguard - Claymore Tactics

  • Good channel Hexen, subbed you on youtube. I really like that Vanguard Claymore video. Despite all the different class and weapon setups, I usually end up back at the Claymore, despite the Vanguard being arguably underpowered when facing off with an above average MAA or Shield Knight.

I really need to get into a better habit of using the stab-overhead combo instead of vice-versa. By the time the stab hits, the overhead is already on its way and the stab is much easier to spin around a shield or an MAA dodge in order to actually get the combo to start.

    Keep up the good work.

  • Been looking through most of your videos and I like that you are making a video guide for all the weapons, though I feel like it lacks a bit of deep information for that weapon, like damage values, reach, speed or something that could easily be put as a overlay in any video editing program, that would make it easier for any watcher to get more knowledge from your videos, good job.

I’d like to see you make some videos about well known / average fighting techniques, mechanism and other stuff.

  • Ok so this comment has not much to do with gameplay tips (which are fine) but I have to say I’d probably watch your videos were it only for the random Schwarzie stuff. The way you laugh after an “arnold moment” like someone else did it and go back to explaining stuff like nothing happened just makes my day every single time.
