Javelin stab animation from first person view ends up stabbing into your target reticule or middle of your screen, when in third person the stab is off to the right of your model and nowhere near your reticule. The third person animation is the one that connects not the first. This means it’s completely possible to drive a javelin stab into a guy’s face and end up missing because the real stab, the third person view stab is off to the right of his head. This also makes scoring head shots impractical in terms of not dying as a javelin archer. I haven’t been able to confirm whether this is permanent or not, but it definitely exists, in public and in beta versions.
