Can we get more feedback from our attacks?



  • Right now every time you swing your sword you have to straight up guess at a lot of things.

    You have to guess at the timing to press your next key for a combo.

    You have to guess what the cutoff point is for turning your attack into a feint.

    You have to guess at where you hit your opponent.

    Blocking/Parrying is even more of a case of crossed fingers because you can never really be sure if the game is going to parry properly or whether the game is inexplicably going to decide that the stab attack somehow made it past your parry but I suppose that’s not so much a problem with the UI.

    It would be nice if there were some UI/sound elements built into the game so that the player had something to go by rather than having to guess at these things. I’m not asking for a giant flashing sign in the middle of the screen but even something subtle like your character taking a breath would be very helpful.
