Help Setting up server

• Hi there,

I’m trying to set up a simple server for me and my friends to play privately however I’m the only one who’s able to access it.

I set it up by creating a .bat file in the Win32 folder (of the Dedicated server program). he file had the following information in it:

@start UDKGame.exe AOCFFA-Arena3_P?steamsockets -dedicated=true -seekfreeloadingserver -multihome=XXX.XXX.X.X -Port=7777 -QueryPort=7778

I then edited the PCServer-UDKEngine.ini and under [I put this infomation in it:

Protocol=unreal
Name=Player
Map=AOCFFA-Arena3_P.udk
LocalMap=AOCFFA-Arena3_P.udk
LocalOptions=
TransitionMap=EnvyEntry.udk
MapExt=udk
EXEName=UDKGame.exe
DebugEXEName=DEBUG-UDKGame.exe
SaveExt=usa
Port=7777
PeerPort=7778
GameName=Chivalry: Medieval Warfare
GameNameShort=CMW
AdditionalMapExt=mobile

Finally under PCServer-UDKGame.ini I then added this information:
[Engine.AccessControl]
IPPolicies=ACCEPT;*
bAuthenticateClients=True
bAuthenticateServer=True
bAuthenticateListenHost=True
MaxAuthRetryCount=8
AuthRetryDelay=8
GamePassword=
AdminPassword=PASSWORD
With this set up I port forwarded 7777,7778 and 27015 with a UDP protocol.

I then launched my .bat file and the cmp loads up,messes about with code and gives my game a Steam Server UID and so on. I can access my server using the Developer Command line and typing
open XXX.XXX.X.X
however my friend cannot access the server in any means. Please can someone help.

Thanks!

• Moving this to Server Operator’s Hub as you’re more likely to get a response there from some very knowledgeable people.

• Thanks! Will do so.

• Try switching to another QueryPort you also might have to open up a few more ports seems like some players requires a few more incoming udp ports in the high range 30000+. If your router/firewall logs blocked incoming connections check if that is the case.

Example:

@start UDKGame.exe AOCFFA-Arena3_P?steamsockets -dedicated=true -seekfreeloadingserver -multihome=XXX.XXX.X.X -Port=7777 -QueryPort=27020

• Still no luck. I’ve posted my information with my port forwarding (here it’s call Port mapping). Please let me know if something is wrong or if anyone can help me out. Thanks!
