    Yeah, that should work.

    1. Make sure you have chosen the correct default comandline for your startup line (i.e., don’t use the default one which at least in my hosting is usually AOCTD-Moor_p -also TCAdmin panel). It’s usually the one in bold.

    2. TO = Team objective / TDM = Team deathmatch.
    Chiv’s server sometimes reports the map as “envy entry” or “TD Moor”, but that’s usually a bug and the map is unplayable. When the server has gone bad (lost connection with Steam) you might be able to see the server and join it, but you probably won’t be able to spawn or login as admin. Restarting the server can help.

    3. Make sure you’ve edited your maplist properly (PCServer-UDKGame.ini)

    It’s so complicated to start your own server. There’s no ‘‘Click here, put your settings and play with your friends button’’ I’ve check that video posted and in my concern, the port and IP operation bugged me a lot.

    1st, my firewall internet companie file don’t have any space to write port and IP except the DMZ thing that I don’t know what it is. And anyway theres onnly 1 space left to write some IP and PORT so I presume it’s not the good place since i have to enter 3 of it.

    So, i’ve goes to the ‘‘Virtual server’’ tab where I can put lot of IP, change the protocol to UDP as specefied in the video. The thing is that the inital IP is empty. So even if i’m not sure what IP to put there, I’ve set the one that I’ve copied and paste from my command file (3:54 in the video). I’ve also select the UDP as he suggest in the vid. And, of course those 27015, 7777 and 7778 in the public port space (there’s also a private port but I presume that was not the good one so i’ve put those in public). Now, When i click saves changes, alert message tell me that the IP can not be the same as the LAN IP adress ? ? ?

    I’ve also tried some combinations but without succes. If someone can help, that yould be nice.

    Setting up outbound/inbound connections to your network is risky business and should only be set by people who know what they’re doing. Leaving open ports makes your computer vulnerable to threats.

    You need to set it up so your computers IP is set for the open port. You’re trying to put your router IP into the spot instead. Find your computers IP using cmd, it will probably be a 192.168.X.X number. such as 192.168.0.100

  • Had a quick look, some things have changed slightly like the ban format in the configs and some stuff like round time override doesn’t work.

    From a server setup perspective though, it all seems correct.



  • Hi all
    I am trying to host an online dedicated server, but I can’t get it to show up in serverlist on steam (or any other platform).
    I am using the dedicated server form steam, i have pluged the server directly into my modem and opened ports: 7777, 7778 and 27015 and forwarded them to the local server IP and configured the server from all the guides i could find. I tested the server on lan, where it showed up in steam just fine, but when I tried setting it up as online it just is not there any more… I can join it by the command “open XXX” but only from the internal IP (I tried it on an externel PC using the external IP but it did not connect).

  • I need your help.
    I have an 64 Slot Players. If the Server was full, then is lagging.
    I tried to change CPU Priority to “High”, but that not helping.
    Its Teammission only on 64 Players.
    Config is all default. I changed only the basic Things Servername, Maxplayers,…

    Ping is Ingame for all 200-300ms. Serverbrowser said: 20-30ms.

    I have a fully dedicated (not virtual) Server with Windows Server 2012 R2:

    Intel i7 3770k
    32GB DDR3 RAM
    250GB SSD
    1Gbit Upstream/Downstream

    Fresh-Install, ony that Server is running.

    I tried 60 Tickrate, but also now 30 and 15. But all not working.
    Before was default 60.

  • I followed these instructions exactly using SteamCMD and having launched the batch file I saw what I’ve attached to this post, and then it crashed after a few seconds and left a crash report which I have also attached. What did I do wrong??
