New patch issue- locking up

Hey I just downloaded the patch and the first time I started it my entire computer locked up on the main menu, it keeps happening 5-10 minutes into playing. Computer temps are fine and this has never been an issue before or with any other game, I’m running full gfx settings with no overclock.

Win7 64bit
AMD A-10 5800k Processor
Gtx680 Video Card
8gb DDR3 Memory
Asus F2A85-V PRO Motherboard

i think it could be maybe from flash objects. I did have some problems with youtube videos with my browser (same freeze and crash, now way to do a ctrl alt del) and to fix it, i disable hardware acceleration of flash objects.

Seems to have resolved the issue,
you need to download flash unistaller, and reinstall fresh version behind

Thats good to hear you fixed your own problem! I tried this and unfortunately it didn’t work. :( I tried running lowest settings but it still locked up. Seems like alot of people are having problems with the patch, Please fix this I wanna play this awesome game!!! :rage:

I’ve had the lockup problem as well. In the log I could read “Timed out while waiting for GPU to catch up. (500 ms)” repeated many times. I googled and found a solution that seems to work for me:
I turned off multi GPU support in the nVidia drivers. I switched off multi monitor support as well.

So you installed an older version of flash player like Skurcey suggested?

Yeah I tried flash player 9 and 10 but it still locks up, it never did this before the patch which is wierd.

Anyway, have you tried verifying the game cache in Steam?
You could also just go right for a reinstall.

I’ve tried to use flash player 9, 10, and 11 but it still locks up. Verifying the game and reinstalling were one of the first things I did. Sometimes it takes an hour or two to lock up sometimes its right when I join a game.

So you can play the game at least some? So that’s good news.
After one of your hour or two sessions where it locks up, attach a new Launch.log.
