How are people getting their veteran helm back

saw some people with veteran helm today on public server, mine are gone since the update how u get them back?

update! they appear to be enabled on some servers i just played on a server where most ppl including me were wearing them

Yea I have the kickstarter helm on some servers too. I was not part of the kickstarter program. So are the helms server locked or something?

I’m quite sure I was wearing mine despite not being able to actually select it in the menu. I happened to notice it on my dead body in spectator mode.
