Map list questions (3)



  • Yes I searched and too many irrelevant threads came up that didnt answer.

    I rented a server and the map list doesn’t have any of the new maps or map modes.

    1. Does my provider need to update or is this something i have to add code lines for?

    2. Can I bias toward Objective maps but still have the rest in the rotation?

    3.How do i remove, say, FFA game modes/maps from rotation?



  • 1. Add the code lines (new map names) to the PCServer-UDKGame.ini file into the mix with the others. Make sure you add it to the non-numbered map list.

    2. In that same file, you will see Maplist [1] …etc listed - that’s the biased order of map rotation. Change the map names in this numbered list to suit your preference.

    3. Delete them from the numbered and non-numbered map lists. You can also try placing a semi-colon in front of the map names if you do not want to delete the line. This will negate the game from reading that line of code. Ex:

    ;AOCFFA-Arena_P

  • My clan and I truly thank you sir. Will the new game types automatically start with the map?

    Edit: I dont have a numbered list in my PCServer-UDKGame.ini, just non-numbered



  • If you are renting a server, you will have to contact your host to change the starting map when the server loads to whatever map you’d like to come up first.
