When Launching, First Screen Pops up and goes away…?

    It’s possible. One fellow said that his antivirus didn’t like the game after the new patch. He had to allow it to be run through his antivirus.

    To confirm, set these as launch properties for the game in Steam (right click game in Steam Game Library, select properties, click Set launch options button in General tab):

    -windowed -resx=1024 -resy=768

    TV will work as long are you are outputting at the right resolution for that particular TV.

    So setting the launch options didn’t help? Please attach the new Launch.log.

  • Does it crash any or just go away?

    Try running it straight from the UDK.exe (C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\chivalrymedievalwarfare\Binaries\Win32). Hopefully this will give us a different result like a full crash (that would be a good thing in this situation).

    Try running it straight from the UDK.exe (C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\chivalrymedievalwarfare\Binaries\Win32). Hopefully this will give us a different result like a full crash (that would be a good thing in this situation).

    No, it just did the same thing, hmm…i wonder what it could be…

    Not yet, but I really need to go to sleep… 6am :(

    From here, try running the two vcredist executable files here C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\chivalrymedievalwarfare\Binaries\RedistChiv. Then run the DXSETUP.exe from here C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\chivalrymedievalwarfare\Binaries\RedistChiv\DXRedistCutdown. Try Chiv again.

    If that doesn’t work, try verifying the game cache through Steam. If that doesn’t work, try reinstalling the game.

    If that doesn’t work, we’ll explore further vcredist again and also reinstalling the .NET framework (had one documented case of .NET a few weeks ago causing problems like this).
