Server not showing in browser HELP!

  • Hi!

We have 6 servers in Poland sponsored by http://www.nuclearIT.pl so far and all of them ware pretty popular, but since some changes in the files (regarding pinglimit, archerlimit, number of players) they are gone from the browser.
They work with no problem and I can connect to them via IP:
    open 79.133.204.238:8277 - DUEL serwer
    Game monitor sees them too:
    http://www.game-monitor.com/search.php? … morszczuki
Some people see them and can connect via browser (miniority)

Now the servers slowly dying because of this, this servers are the only one in Poland and are crucial to the Polish community is there any one who can help mi with this ? The server were working fine before the patch/file changes - the only file that was changed is:
    PCServer-UDKGame.ini

Any input even the most obvious is welcome it would really help us.

I would like to add that I was connected to the server second ago, and left then go to the browser to history and no input about our serwer there, favorites have all of them added and no input there either.

  • I also have the same problem and my server is dying because of this.

I created the first Greek server (Hellenic Medieval Warfare) and most of the times not everyone can find it. The funny thing is that the server attracted a lot of players/buyers due to my participation to a clan and a gaming forum but now you can’t find it in the server browser. I know the solution with the open command but we need the server browser.

  • No help for us :( We noted 80% drop in servers population… we will try to advertise servers by ‘open’ command - but don’t think it will help - no browser support no players, no player no servers, no servers… we’ll figure it out for yourselves…

  • What sort of help are you expecting? All you’ve said is, “My server doesn’t show up in the broswer!”

That’s almost the same as, “My car doesn’t run!”

You haven’t provided any information about what you’ve done, changes you’ve made, steps you’ve attempted to correct the issue, etc.

Have you tried changing the ports?
    Re-opening them in the router?
    Using different listening ports?
Changing config settings pertaining to above?

Sitting on your hands and just saying, “it doesn’t work,” is a surefire way to have your server die. Be reactive.

  • Im still having the same issue with my server.
    I already created a post here: http://www.chivalrythegame.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=72&t=10282

I have made no changes at all. My server stopped showing up in the Server Browser all sudden.

Does changing cvars back to default work for you (Class Limits, Ping Limits etc)?

    Cheers

  • All changes to ping limit were reverted (it doesn’t work anyway), one server was reset to all default settings for testing purposes no effect so far.
Information about ports was send to the server provider. What is important is that all worked fine and suddenly without any reason or changes the servers disappear.
And I’m not seating on my hands I just don’t know what to do - I’m not a network specialist - the servers are sponsored for us by server provider. They made no changes at all to anything - so why the servers are gone ? And what should I do to fix it if default config fixes nothing and other people can see the sewers (about 10%) but not all of them ?
This affects a lot of servers out there not only ours… for me conclusions is simple the fault is on the browser/game side not server settings (which was not changed and revert to defaults).

I’m still open for any suggestion from user who are more advanced and know the problem. As I said in main post: Any input even the most obvious is welcome it would really help us.

  • Have you started pulling the strings of the server provider? If you don’t see the server in the list, light a fire under them to see if they can provide some support.

Perhaps a full take-down and relauch.

  • The servers are back in the browser - they showed up yesterday without any changes on our part. Problem fixed, what happend ? I don’t know… thx for your input and help!

  • I think I came across somewhere that the server browser only queues like 240 servers at a time, and if you’re past that number, you don’t show up.

Don’t quote me on that though.

That is currently how it is done. That will probably change in the future. To be sure, check out my alternate server browser: viewtopic.php?f=69&t=10664

    It gets them all :)

  • Servers gone again today, after some 35 mb download to the client. Anyone knows what happend ? Is there any need to change something in the servers so they would show up again ? Servers are fully patched 2 days ago they showed fine till today.

  • Interesting, we haven’t seen this issue before, or at-least not yet.

    Hope you get this resolved!

Same here. Our clan sever doesn’t appear on browser (however we can connect through console with “open”).
