Is a hotkey for feinting really necessary?
This is not a rant on feints.
I’m just wondering, why do we need a specific hotkey for feinting (q) when you can obtain what looks like the same effect by pressing the parry button (RMB) when you would usually feint?
Even the stamina cost looks the same to me.
Am I missing something?
Default was Q.
RMB feinting was added after the fact in a patch. Before the only way to feint/cancel was by pressing Q.
I can’t answer your question because there’s no reason. The only logical thing to do now is to make it an actual option.
Turning off RMB while leaving Q cancels on and vice versa. TB doesn’t do logical things though.
Just rebind it to something else in the UDKGame.ini.

Q cancels all attacks, RMB only cancels melee attacks - this is so you can zoom with RMB on ranged weapons.
