Knocking on doors

So Dark forest doors to f*** the royal family or Citadel doors before the Malric slaughter, you can bash em.
Now is it total damage or number of hits that define when they break?
If it is the latter obviously fists is the way to go.
If it is the former do blunt weapons create more damage?

They are all health based, and it goes by base damage. The higher the base damage of the attack, the better.

Glad I used the overhead attack on them

Makes sense. Otherwise people would just switch to the hunting knife to bring it down.

You’re definitely going to break it faster with a grand mace than with a broadsword.
