I get stuck on the loading screen



  • Every time i try to join a server (doesn’t matters what ping it has) it stays stuck at the please wait while the game is loading screen and after like a few minutes it tells me that i have lost the connection to the host,how do i fix this problem?



  • I am still not able to join a single game/server because of this issue , could anyone please tell me what to do to solve the issue?



  • Have you tried restarting steam? Sometimes this happens if there is a patch and steam failed to auto download. If that fails, try verifying the integrity of the game cache through steam properties on the game. Last thing to try if those fail, is delete the chivalry folder in My Documents, and let steam re-acquire it.



  • is restarting steam like logging in and out of steam?

  • Not just logging out and back in, but more like killing it completely in task manager and then restarting it.

Then try joining a few servers (wait until it times out before joining another one - I’d recommend mostly a mix of official servers). Then exit the game cleanly and attach your Launch.log in a reply here.

    You didn’t remove the “Suppress=DevOnline” line from UDKEngine.ini.

    Remove the line “Suppress=DevOnline” from your UDKEngine.ini (Documents\My Games\Chivalry Medieval Warfare\UDKGame\Config). Then try joining a few servers (wait until it times out before joining another one - I’d recommend mostly a mix of official servers). Then exit the game cleanly and attach your Launch.log in a reply here.

    Removing that line makes the game write more data to the Launch.log.



  • i the file wasnt listed in my files anymore when i checked for it again , so i hope it worked this time



  • You didn’t exit the game cleanly. You have to open up the console (~ or scroll lock) and type exit.
