It’s actually a pretty good troll tbh. It’s believable and if someone claims this a troll, everyone will think it’s 'cause he’s sad for not being listed as the best.
Anstii kind of ruined it by taking the bait.
where’s yarnu, where’s hexen, where’s sir clay, where’s colonial, where’s palaceer/10 imo
Those apex, f, and T guys aren’t much compared to Palaceer is the best player I’ve ever seen. He is 150% better than me in all aspects. He uses every mechanic in the game to his advantage. Thankfully he let me join, some power hungry co-leader won’t stop me.
Yarnu dog, hexen aci, and sir clay are all the best players in world. Pretty sure colonial star guys is good too. he make montage with music. He NEVER die in montage, and he always READ all feint en montage. But that whole nemesis clan is rlly good. best players. and most toxic clan NA.
Very well said Height, I remember explaining why I liked 5v5 more and you and Omega gave very good counterpoints to why 6v6 should be the main competitive format. 49% rule would remove a big reason as to why you guys said 6v6 is the superior format: class diversity.
Allow each team to ban 1 weapon per class topkek.
Maul*, Messer, SoW - one of these will see play, teams must pick their poison
Zwei*, Brandi*, …Halberd? Spear? - Nah, I think every team would ban Zwei and Brandi.
Norse*, HWS, Flanged Mace - I guess any non-Lg team will ban Norse and HWS.
Crossbows, Javelins… - There sure are a lot of choices when it comes to archer, lol.
Yeah, people will give you hell for the pre-determined list methinks. “wut u banning my skillhok mang??/ it’s less OP than spe4r!!! - wow u ban my maul but not dubaxe so sp00k can win torney for u guyz?? gg no n0rse sw0rd and not even hatchet but u still allow morning star with its instant stab?? STOPID ODMINS BIASED BY TEMBEST DERR LEAVE BRITNEY ALONE.” At least bans will direct the hate wave away from the Tournament Admins.
We’ve tested it. But idk why you’re mentioning us. We weren’t the only ones complaining about it during the tournament.
Didn’t realize it was being used in tourney; shown to be a naughty server. You guys are mostly east and we tend to butt heads when it comes to server choice, so I wanted to know if the server’s been kind to you guys. Played on it again recently and Anstii got a whopping 118 ping, he lives in Newfoundland though.
The one server we had most problems with was NFO Dallas I think. It was our Loverboyz vs N match on Stoneshill, two people from each team would shoot up to 160 ping regularly. A shame because, when NFO works, it works very well, but it has the most hiccups from our experience. And it doesn’t simultaneously give both me and Keyes a very good ping.
Syndicate’s server is amazing from what I’ve seen. Keyes and I, who are on different sides of the continent, get 50-60 ping there. No other server has anywhere near close of such a good compromise. Tempest boyz, check out the server and give me your opinion, I think this could be a new tournament standard server location where no one will bitch about ping, even in west vs east.
I doubt they will implement FHF since there wouldnt be a way to beat me
Thats actually a good point. It widens the gaps between new players and veterans. We die less and they get less kills.
We Sakurai now.
This tournament was certainly the most fun of the three I’ve partaken in, and it seems to be the absolute most wild one as well from the sounds of it. Some highlights from the games I’ve spectated or played in, or from what I’ve heard:
Genesis vs Nemesis… Jesus, I don’t think I have ever been as stressed in any sort of game, video game or high school sports, than in this match. The Darkforest match was butt-clenchingly close, and we were absolutely not prepared for that, given that we were on the defense first and thus dnf’d Gen before they did the same to us. Genesis’s archer gets an ABSOLUTELY crucial javelin kill on me as I’m pushing cart uncontested (mind you, I am a Knight with a SHIELD equipped while this is happening), stopping me dead at 35% (we needed over 37% to win the match). I think that, by this point, we only had a couple minutes or so, so we only have two pushes left at best. We’ve been losing all our melee engagements… until Palaceer narrowly wins a 2v1 and books it to the cart, pushing it to 37% before he’s finally halted. Once it switches to Arena, Genesis gives us quite a whooping as they’re able to surround us and just outmaneuver and outplay us. It’s not until we start pushing ourselves and going aggressive that the momentum finally swings to our favor before Genesis runs 7 on us… GG Genesis, one of the (if not THE) most stressful and insane matches of anything I’ve ever played…
Genesis vs Tempest 2. I think it was this one. I only saw glimpses of it (mostly first half), but Genesis put WORK on offense! They absolutely blitz’d through the first and second objectives, complete with their archer getting a great sneaky ninja on the cart at cave during the second objective. I thought for sure that Genesis had this game in the bag… but that turned out not to be the case! The sluice gate, the great equalizer, was a huge obstacle for them, and I suppose that was Tempest 2’s salvation in being able to out-speedrun them in Darkforest. I did not watch much of the second half, I’m afraid.
I didn’t personally witness this and I’m having trouble finding a VOD for it, but I heard GoD had an especially impressive last stand versus Eq in Stoneshill. Though they still eventually lost the match according to the brackets, their King defense was an especially impressive showcase of perseverance according to the stream chat and witnesses. And they managed to defeat Vq as well, a team who actually impressed me a lot in our first scrim against them in their return.
Loverboyz vs Nem. This was a scrim that seemed to be neck-to-neck until the very last two minutes. Both teams absolutely struggled and fought tooth and nail for every pixel of progress on that Stoneshill ram. Had it not been for Beast’s huge push and dent on the door, the Loverboyz may have taken the game. Unfortunately, the server was absolutely awful for a couple members of both teams.
Tempest vs Faucheur… All I’ll say is, Faucheur deserved the semi-finals victory for fighting hard to not get DNF’d within the last hair on each objective, and then using that momentum to DNF Tempest in turn. Tempest deserved the tournament, because I don’t think any team has put in as much work as they did between this tournament and the last one. They finally snatched the elusive #1 tournament spot, congrats Tempest.
Lots and lots of fun, quite a few surprises and nail biters in this tournament. Best Twitch chat ever. Double eliminations made the scheduling and marathon of games even more stamina draining than any Maul out there, but man it was worth it.
And thank you, thank you Height, for your gracefulness with us this tournament!
