Feinting is not impossible to see.
Like everything in this game you need to work out what YOU did incorrectly when you were beaten. Only then can you actually advance and become better. Something may be tricky or difficult to deal with but if your response is to beg for an easier game then where do we stop?
Do not prey for easier lives. Prey to be stronger men.

RE: Thanks TBS for CMW!
THREE CHEERS FOR TBS!
Love the Game, Hate the Community
For my money, CMW is an excellent game and I am continually pleased by the patching and balancing that TB is and has been implementing. However I am completely floored by the community. After 130 hrs played and reaching level 36, I am repeatedly disappointed by the general population I encounter in game. Now I understand that the Internet is where people come to unleash the most heinous and venomous portions of their souls unto complete strangers but the individuals I meet on a daily basis in CMW push this concept to the next level. When I hop online not a day goes by when I am not vote kicked for no reason or spammed by cries of bug, imba, etc. I usually can push the top spot in my preferred mode of FFA and the hater gene that it seems the majority of people playing this game possess causes them to think that is a perfectly good reason to ban/kick me. Now simply calling a vote for this reason means you’re an @55 h0|e but to get a majority of the vote and actually succeed means that the majority of the players are also a$5 ho1es. I know for the most part this will fall on deaf ears or affect a response along the lies of “welcome to the internet” but if we could all make a conscious effort not to be unduly hateful to one another we will help preserve an intact community and consequently an intact game. You don’t need to stand up to the genuine dregs of this community but do not enable them by going along with irrational and childish behavior.
Save Load Out
I roll two or three load outs for the most part. Would be nice to be able to save and quick switch when I need instead of selecting all weapons and classeach time.
RE: Getting around shields…
Solution: Don’t rely on crutch shields. L2parry! But seriously a lot of times the animation delay makeyou miss when they have swung around your block instead of into it. I love shield users because most stand still with their shield while I swing around their flank.
RE: If Looking For Clan! - POST HERE
Looking for clan to increase ability and develop my play style with. I want to branch out from my preferred game types of duel and FFA to more team play. Not just team play but guided and strategized team play.
I am rank 28 and have been playing for a few weeks.
I mainly/only play one handed Man at Arms. I prefer dueling and FFA servers. Usually have little problem coming in at number one on FFA and unless I am having a bad day or playing the mine stage in dueling I can get first or second. I shy away from TO or LTS because being TKed is a real pet peeve. I’m hoping that in a group of more competent players, that won’t happen so often.
I live in the Midwest.
I do have a microphone
I can use vent/team speak/etc
I am available most nights and weekends but I do have a social life and career and they do take precedent.
Before CMW I was mainly wrapped up in M&B War Band and M&B Napoleonic Wars.
Steam Name: Apathyi
Shields: I loathe shields and only use them when I am dueling archers. In FFA I don’t bother since I can usually dodge their panicked shots and force them to melee (my domain). I tried shields for a while but I felt they diminished my play style, which is very aggressive. Playing in first person, a shield blocks more of my vision then of my enemy’s strikes. I am fond of fighting someone using a shield because they tend to be more defensive and prefer to hide behind it. For people hiding behind shields I love to kick and swing into their blind spot.
I rarely play anything besides MAA because I can’t stand being so slow or immobile. I believe that learning to never get hit will develop better skill in this game then learning to trade blows. MAAs live just outside the fray and jump in for the open strike and get out before the brutes can swing their telephone poles.
Feinting: I like it just the way it is. With decent ping I have no problem seeing a feint and not getting suckered into blocking. I like feinting because it keeps fights from becoming block trading bouts. Swing, block, swing, block, is the last time thing I want to do in FFA. I feel like the argument that it is lowering the skill in the game is flat out wrong. If you are suckers into blocking every time someone feints, you need to up your game and keep from getting baited. In my last game War Band, feinting was almost all you had when dueling. Early on in saber battles I could feel like it was just random swinging but when I got better I realized that it was easy to spot and counter. You just need identify that it is a level of playing and not insurmountable defect.
My current weaknesses, but am improving, are against instant overhead hitters and the figure eight vanguards. I’ve been experimenting with dodging more of the overhead hitters because blocking usually sends me backwards and prevents counter attacks. For the figure eight vanguards, I’ve been not chasing them so much which makes them need to run back a little further to which I can slide in on them or catching them with a dodge forward stab after crouching under their swing.
Besides developing personal ability, I want to break into the world of team tactics and strategy. 1v1 or 1vM is not an issue for me but I imagine the dynamic changes greatly when in 2v2 or 2vM.
RE: MAA Dodge back glitch?
Had this happen a bunch. I have even dodged under the map in saw mill and appeared again right were I was.
