Ill try it out. This patch will bring a lot more people to DW now. Sadly, no objective based maps…will get boring eventually.

Kick fix finally?. This could actually make kicks too powerful, the stamina drain would punish aggressiveness too much and that’s not ideal, it was fine before because kicks were a 50 50 gamble, but we’ll see. The true potential of the kick finally unlocked, RIP competitive chivalry =P
BTW, please take a look at the hitboxes or something, my swings constantly pass through someones head without hitting them.

I actually thought reversals was a good idea just to keep stab drags balanced, but if it causes issues, remove it.

Longbows can one shot archers, shortbows get a big buff, warbow is close to its pre nerf state. LCB is even better because of flinch, heavy xbow is given some incentives to use (as a sniper rifle), but what about the regular crossbow? It seems to me that there are less incentives to play reg crossbow than any other range weapon.
Why would i use the LCB over the crossbow?, to one shot archers? better HTK? but aren’t bows better for the job now? you have 9 ammo when using a pavise, this means the xbow will be used strictly to counter archers or to counter melee, not both. Which sounds fine to me but the rest of the weapons can do everything, xbow falls behind in versatility.
Archer would be actually become a support class if you only give them a shortbow and a xbow, lol.

Once I made a slash over someones head with the messer and then dragged it back into his head while my blade was still going the other way. I’m not talking about a 360, I killed someone with the blunt side of the messer.
I think you’re full of it. There is no possible way you could’ve done this without the other person not parry and run into the tracer as you dragged very slow. The messer is not able to be dragged like that, as are any weapons. I’ve put in about a hundred hours on it and I’ve seen what you’re talking about happen zero times. I’m not sure you understand how the weapon works.
He’s not full of it, as you can see in the video provided by Naleaus….and Naleaus can pull it off at will with the greatsword.

You make a good point, but Archer being OP is common knowledge at this point. Shooting mechanics are not being limited by stamina, no accuracy penalty, absurd projectile speed / range / damage, too much ammo. To top it off, their melee is strong. Shortsword, thrusting dagger are unpredictable, really hard to deal with.
The only counter to an archer is an archer.

I’m not the best but mostly in the high score almost every round. There’s so many factors like all of you said, Footwork, range, ping, weapon, ect. I also sometimes play for relaxing and trying different weapons. I don’t realy care of the score and I just play for fun (Like some high ranked players do sometimes)
One thing, musicians are usualy more skilled players. They REACT QWICKER to changes due to their brain hability while playing an instrument. Since musicians is a brain and body control job, I think they have more overall chances. I got no proff of this but I stongly think it’s real. Jimi hendrix was playing CMW between two songs at woodstock. True ! ;)

The rest of what you mention are specific examples out of certain scenarios, as are mine. You took my example and added a “but” and an “if”, so that argument is pretty flimsy… as I also mentioned.
I’m really not concerned with what competitive players can theoretically accomplish with this in place. Fast weapons will become the new public/casual bitch topic, and you can bet flinch topics will stem off of these as well.
Your hypothetical scenario is improbable, that never happens in team fights. The 1h will never hit first unless it’s a reverse at facehug range + a BAD zwei drag. Go play mercs mod, tell me how OP 1hs are.
You’re telling us FHF rewards gamblers when they get punished for bad timed trades?…have you even played against good players that go for trades half the time? this is a viable style and a lot of us don’t want it as a viable way to play the game, it’s not skillful and it’s fucking anti fun. FHF is a solution and you can’t tell me it isn’t. After spending plenty of time playing mercs mod, i’ve not encountered the problems you’ve mentioned, trading still happens to acceptable levels. It’s fine that it’s not completely gone, we just don’t want it to be viable.
Everyone agrees with you though, stamina is an issue that needs to be solved first asap. But i really wonder what’s your take on stamina and what should TB do about it.

LOL is this guy serious? You’re the top yolo knight NA, you don’t even try to read anything. You do great in scrims because Bigs allows you to one shot people with the top trade weapon Skill of war, maul or messer.
Just because your team destroyed tempest and you happened to have the most amount of kills doesn’t mean you’re the best knight LOL. Hairy and dolo are miles better than you.
FHF works because gamblers like you won’t have dominance over the game. A playstyle that highly rewards gambling is unbalanced. Trades would be fair if both swings land at the same time, that’s why chambering would be a better solution to eliminate any trace of luck involved in FHF. I favor mercs mod over vanilla, trades still happen, but not often, and it rewards high level gameplay. Vanilla rewards caveman gambling much more than mercs.
How many times did you scrim with FHF?

Everything clay said pretty much. Don’t forget Javs, those still flinch and are even more active than the rest of the range weapons. Regular javs are absolutely disgusting.
This is a balanced game as long as you don’t take it seriously. It’s far from competitive.
We’re talking from a competitive standpoint, and these are the common issues we have to deal with. By the way Lemon, Clay never said a mechanic is unbalanced just because he doesn’t like it, he made sure to keep that clear. Did you even read his post?

I agree with the MS stab, that shit is wacky.
QS is just downright broken, the amount of weird things you can get away with is crazy. The lookdown OH is old-GS level fucked, and the reverse stabs are mental, not to mention it hits waaaay sooner than the animation implies.
Surprised no ones mentioned the LS yet, stab ripostes have a tendency to hit really early these days. Never used to have a problem with them, does my head in haha. At least with the SoW you know its coming in stupidly fast, LS though you can see winding up but then out of nowhere you eat a stab.Might just be me though.
#20fpslifeLS riposte stabs AND overheads. Sometimes the overhead goes crazy and lands instantly, i’ve done it many times. On my end it looks like it skips the windup and release animation. It only happens at facehug range, and the timing has to be perfect to pull it off. Very random but broken.
Recently i’ve been having issues with the billhook, the ripostes come out much later than expected.

Exactly, having low hp is terrible because anyone can finish you off with a hit trade or get you to low HP with a trade. People say you have to cftp, but good luck doing that against weapons that drain all your stamina after 3 swings, at that point you can’t evade a trade. Then you have to deal with archers, firepots and slow HP regen, it’s extremely frustrating for the wrong reasons. That’s why i’m bitching so much about certain mechanics that in my opinion limit the skill ceiling. Your mod fixes most issues and i can’t wait to scrim with the mod.
