      it works just fine on Battlefield 3.

      Team kills happen much more frequently in these kinds of games than shooters because everyone is close to each other and some Archers like to shoot at enemies that are engaged in fights with teammates. From my 5 years of experience in AoC, everyone just gets pissed off at the amount of teamkilling and hits ‘Punish’ even when the teamkilling is accidental; it’s better than Mirror damage, and the current votekick system yes, but there are still better systems yet that fit this game more and take into account the amount of natural teamkilling.

      I don’t know… I am used to play TDM with 32x32 and TKs on hardcore are pretty annoying, I although I still seeing people hitting “!forgive” after someone say “sorry”.

      It’s a simple solution for today’s problem, not perfect for sure, but will work just fine for a while.
      After the game grows more and become more solid a new solution might be better, but still not necessary.

      The important thing to realise today is, things can not keep like it is today.

      I pushed for a mirror friendly fire option early on, because in my mind nothing will teach you to avoid friendly fire faster than killing yourself whenever you hit a teammate - but the general opinion from the community and the dev team was negative, so I gave up :P

      **Have you guys discussed about the system used on Battlefield 3? It’s pretty simple and works.

      3 Simple commands on chat:

      “!Punish” = Kill the team killer and add a negative score on him;
      “!Forgive” = Do nothing (Not even add negative score);
      Do nothing = will add a negative score just how works today.

      Five “!Punishes” could result on an auto-kick,

      I think it is a pretty much better system than Damage reflection, at least, it works just fine on Battlefield 3.**

      Funny is, while I am playing I see like 80% of players complaining about team damage, when that subject comes to the forums, people just don’t care.

      Amateur or not, still deserve a penalty for attacking a team mate.

      Negative score is useless as well as this vote kick.

      One bad shot with the trebuchet and 2 noobs with low health run in front of your swing and you are banned for 24 hours?

      Yeah that would kill the game quite quickly.

      Maybe you should just setup your own server and implement that policy and see how well that works.

      Maybe trebuchets need a better aim system, maybe the tutorial should teach people properly.

      Don’t blame “noobs” for being “noobs”, they are “noobs” because can’t train something properly or because the own game can’t tell them what is right/wrong.

      24 hours ban from a server, there are loads of servers where you still able play and try to be more careful. And 24 hours still just a day, which is not big deal.

      It wouldn’t kill the game, the game is killing itself while no one does nothing about this problem.

      Auto-Kick is a common mechanic on many competitive games, it is not the end of the world.

      I’d love to make my own server, If even I knew how to, every attempt of following a tutorial ended with an error at the end, it seems so hard to do.

      To the OP - are you talking about accidental TKs or ‘griefing’? Just to keep terms straight.

      Sadly team killers keep breaking most of the game experience.

      I don’t know why you don’t release just an auto-votekick.
      Still too slow progress for such good game, such a pitty.

      For sure Vote Kick is BROKEN, OLD AND USELESS mechanic, once it needs Every player to vote for or against.

      If it needed, at least, only votes from a team to decide, It’d be less useless.

      “Why should my team kick someone who is helping me to win a match by killing his team mates?”
      That’s what most players I play with think, so that is why It’s a broken system.

      There is a pretty simple and working way to solve the Tk problem.

      Place the same system that Battlefield 3 has.

      When a teammate kill you you have 3 options:

      –> Enter: “!Punish” which will instantly kill and add a negative score to the one who killed you.
      –> Enter “!Forgive” which will not kill and will not add any negative stats.
      –> Do nothing, which will work like work today.

      Also 5 “!Punish” means autokick.

      What about that?

      I didn’t mean “100% team damage = instant kick”
      I did mean “100% of damage done (against a teammate) is back to the source”

      Which means, if you kill a teammate, you will die, add this with the negative score and add this with the “vote kick” tool.

      “Damage back to the source” is a way to tell people “Be careful”
      “Negative score” is a way to show others that this guy is doing a bad thing.
      “Vote Kick” is a way to punish him.

      Game Tips at loading time saying that people have to be careful with their weapons are also needed.

      A better tutorial as well.

      You’ve gotta do something about those Team Killers, this is just getting annoying and breaking most of the game experience.

      “Vote Kick” is pretty much useless, once people just don’t want to kick the team killer.

      100% damage back is highly recommend, I wonder why isn’t it already released.

      Post your frustrating times with intentional Tks
