You’re all wrong.
I’m “from” Canada, I’m just living in Australia.
It was a trick question 8-)
For all others from the US, I’m from the uninhabited area of the map.
Isn’t New Zealand that place where Sauron lives?
No, Hobbits live in New Zealand, Sauron lives in an area where there is very little vegetation, very desolate, all grey and very dangerous to wander around without getting killed…… Detroit.
You guys looking for something “Difficult” like back in the day?
^ It’s still on sale while the Steam Summer Sale is going, but time is running out. You get MKI, MKII and UMKIII…. Online Multiplaying is available and these versions of the games have been direct ports from the Arcade versions of the games… in that they’re still designed to suck the quarters from your pockets and hard as crap with very little mercy in gameplay even on Very Easy.
Steam Achievements also exist.
There are different visual settings to the game as well, so you can get an arcade-looking feel or have slightly crisp’er graphics, etc.
Apparently the Mortal Kombat Arcade Kollection, by every review I came across, has been designed and ported exactly as it was when those games were in the Arcade…. In other words, hard as hell and designed to suck the quarters from your pockets… Even on the easiest settings.
I bought it a day ago yet haven’t played it, but if that’s the kind of hard you are looking for, it’s still on sale in Steam for like $4.99 (50% off) which includes MK1, 2 and Ultimate MK3.
Well I picked up my final purchase for this sale and I had to make sure it was a good one.
So I got five games in total:
• The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim - Legendary Edition
• Velvet Assassin
The three games I grew up loving… the games I played countless hours with, beating the snot out of my friends… the games that created the ESRB Rating System and made video games a “Grown Up” sorta thing:
• Mortal Kombat Arcade Collection (Mortal Kombat, Mortal Kombat II and Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3)
50% off and on sale for $4.99…. I sold everything I could that was in my inventory, and dropped the price down to just over $2.00 in the end.
Now to see how many fatalities I remember…
Well after my Skyrim Legendary Edition I bought at the start of this thread I just picked up a not-so well known, not-so greatly reviewed game called Velvet Assassin. It was 75% off for $2.49, but due to selling some trading cards I only paid $1.80 for it.
There’s a lot of negative reviews and YouTube videos complaining about it, but the Steam Discussion section has a decent amount of avid fans for the game who loved it and it seems to have some good graphics and atmosphere, so for the price I thought what the hell.
Though the developer of the game went tits up shortly after their following game Tunnel Rats…… Hmmmm.
…… You can’t do anything about it. And it causes no harm anyway. And protects everyone. That’s what its there to do.
With that kind of attitude, I wouldn’t be surprised if five years from now I’ll have a camera in my toilet staring into my arse pucker, tracking how much toilet paper I use and send me a bill in the mail for using too much and destroying the environment. :?
