So come hither can be spammed every 500 milliseconds constantly huh.
Yea should be faster tbh
So completely new vanilla Vanguard models (new face/outfit/etc)?
Or sort of like a high quality (current) vanilla model?
I would pay real cash money just to hear the old voice actors from the original 4 playable classes fart through a microphone.
The only thing that made old treb 3 bad was that there was no cover inside the point from the Masons who were leaving their spawn.
TB added that wall in one patch and removed old treb 3 in the same patch, not even giving time to test anything. I’m telling you, that wall makes the world of difference when Masons can’t see/shoot into the point from their spawn.
That objective was always the most contested and the most fun when you could successfully grab it off Masons. People are probably still just butt blasted over it so they don’t want it back.
remove the ability to parry + dodge at the same time
keep dodge out of flinch in but make it so that you can’t immediately queue up an attack
I’d like to see this.
When people know that the MaA can’t immediately throw out an attack after dodging, it evens out the playing field as well as allowing the opponent that slight bit of time needed to ready themselves. It would also pushes dodge more towards a defensive manoeuvre which some people seem to have a hard on for.
I would still like to see dodge and being able to parry. Maybe increasing the stamina drain if you parry during the dodge state might work.
Old treb 3 was only imbalanced because archers could snipe people who were fighting on the treb from their spawn ramp which being immune to melee.
Once they added that large wall that blocked LOS into the point, that would have made it a lot better in terms of balance. It would mean that Masons would enter the point relatively blind and not know what was awaiting them.
Masons being able to use the ballista would certainly help a lot in TO, but like others said it would make it imbalanced in smaller 6v6 etc. comp games. If it wasn’t too difficult, having two separate versions of the map, one which was balanced around comp. play and the other around pub play would be the best scenario.
I really miss old treb 3 :<
- When dodging in flinch state Man-At-Arm can no longer attack until flinch timer has expired
So does this put to rest whether or not the devs think MAA dodge out of flinch + attack is a feature?
You would have to be delusional to think it’s a feature in the first place, all jokes aside.
Shit just noticed this, if you really did fix this then I will be very happy. Will test when I get home.
Also I like the broadsword changes, it doesn’t nerf it too much but it at least creates a distinct difference when choosing between Norse vs Broadsword. Before you would always go Broadsword just because the better range, better damage and the speed difference was negligible. Now there is quite some difference in speed, should be nice to see some more variety eventually in MaA primaries.
Morning Star > Broadsword
Torn Banner, what was the reason for removing the beatz from Belmez? The music gave that map a really awesome feel to play on. Now with no music, it loses a lot of its atmosphere which is what heaps of people really liked about that map.
Poor design? Maybe. Exploit/cheat? Nope, been a part of the game forever
You can’t claim to not like a way something is designed and claim it to be an exploit/cheat. You will get a lot of Yes votes here because people don’t like the way it is designed (or MAAs in general), but game design doesn’t constitute exploit/cheat.
big kek m8, the dodge out of flinch +attack exploit was only introduced around August/September last year.
Speaking in terms of TB bugs and their longevity in game, that is still quite a short amount of time.
I find I only need to use dodge against other MaA who try to pull some jewy dodge bullshit on me. You pretty much always need to dodge if you see them dodge after being hit because of the fucking exploit. Only other time dodge is useful is when you dodge in between two or more people and everyone starts hitting each other or pulling off The Great Escape.
Non-MaA (mostly knight mains) have been crying here in their little echo chamber hugbox forum
long enough about dodge removal, but I will admit however, I would be sad to see dodge go.
If you left MaA how he is at the moment, removed dodge
and went forward with this Broadsword nerf and perhaps make some of his other primaries more appealing, then I think MaA would still be fun/balanced to play. It would certainly draw the line on separating good MaA and bad MaA.
Of course it is an exploit.
The only reason people might think that it isn’t is because TB have been so quiet about it. Sure they tried to “fix” it once, but that wasn’t even a fix it was a lazy work around.
The real question for TB is, how hard can it be to fix?
Most of the items made by polycount boys belong in Dota, not chiv.
I don’t want to see that in chivalry, bleh :s
b-but look how successful dota is!
I took a 2 month break, did some training in a hyperbolic time chamber. Didn’t think it would take so long for the real balance patch to come but oh well.
Gimme dat Bighorner Helm.
All my extremely witty, topical, humorous remarks on balance keep getting deleted when I post on the new patch notes. :( das raciss

If they can’t fix the dodge glitch where you bypass flinch times, I could settle for an attack lockout after dodging, maybe like .5 or something.
Poleaxe is fine.
The stab animation looks weird at times because it comes out like a polearm stab as well as lower than most weapons and it drags like a motherfucker (it use to drag more but I’m fairly sure they changed how far you can horizontally drag it). Plus parry animations usually mask most of its already deceptive wind up animation, so when you riposte you may only see the very end of this animation and its suddenly in release (inside your body).
Weigh this against its relatively short range and long ass recovery times that almost always require you to combo feint to parry and you’ll find it’s one of the more balanced weapons. I like to think of it as the Billhook of the Knight weapon tree.
It’s a weapon that excels at being up close and personal, something that Knights tend to lack and suffer in
when everyone’s getting knocked all over the place.
PS: Leave my fav Knight weapon alone
