even servers full of vets suffer due to one ocd tryhard. If you stepped back it translates into 1 person spoiling
23 others evening over 6 maps or more. When one blatant tryhard be that with a series of roh animation bugs, macroed
combat plus even speaking messages binded into the fight add the purposely done 50 ping that always seems to increase
to 140 in fights or if they start to lose. These nasty gamers know what they are doing so it should be hard to figure out
my ratio of numbers it’s easier to ban one such tryhard for month then let over 5 maps of 23 people suffer assuming
they are even the same gamer’s suffering each map. When certain things are pointed out in game to such tryhards
they even taunt and know full well they are way out of snyc also. It won’t harm Chivalry atm to have a filtering of such
plebs out of its core game tbh. Imo Its not practical to have 40 players quit for good over a month due to a tryhard.
They know what they are doing as when smurfing after banned they actually go about showing off nasty combat moves
drawing attention to themselves , I have even seen such smurfs rank 4 lead the scores once again in rank16 plus games.
The strange one is why they complain when caught smurfing and can’t figure out why lel. yet they quite happily run about
in a recently joined say 24slot ffa beating down rank40 plus players who are usually relaxing and messing about with
friends by coming up to them often with some animation strobe effect plus tryharding to then start acidy tongue rudness
saying you suck or are shit. They should actually be banned from steam completely, Its due a clean up just like faceybook imo. Weak gamers who shouldn’t be given impunity to ruin many many players sessions of chivalry atm
Lucky I’m not an admin with my pine hammer tbh, I cleaned up 4 quake live servers over a month breaking new records for bans. If you even smell like a tryhard your gone, or blink with a sword hehe. filthy blighters tbh
Wait, how do you even PM? Anyway, this isn’t a PERSONAL request regarding some friends of mine. As I said, I don’t know these people AT ALL, despite your baseless assumption. Did it occur to you that maybe I might care about the health of the Chivalry community, and that toxic administrating is one of several ills that it is facing?
LTS got much less interesting with the addition of those endgame icons. It also buffed Archers as it makes it much harder to flank them or even use cover. Not the way to go in my opinion: floating icons etc. should be kept at a bare minimum - I think even objective markers offer way too much hand-holding that reduces the tactical options most of the time (and often ends up favoring Archers too).
As for Archers themslves and the topic here: Yes Archers are the main counter to Knights and limiting them causes the Vanguard population to go up or even rampage because of missing counters. However, this only applies to mass-Vanguard where 4 Archers are simply not enough. Too bad limiting Archers makes the probability of encountering mass-Vanguard much higher. Now Torn Banner could keep going the wrong way and introduce a Vanguard limit reducing the player options even more and making the game even less diverse.
Or they could remove the Archer limit making the game more diverse (and better in my opinion) and providing the options to deal with Vanguard spam. But then we run into the old problem: the main counter to Archers… is Archers. Which is probably the main reason they introduced the limit in the first place. If one team starts to use Archers to great effect the other teams Archer count will increase in an effort to snipe them. This increase in Archers causes the first team to use even more Archers to counter them more effectively. Which in turn might cause the second team to use even more Archers.
So the way to deal with this is:
(1) Make Archer balance high priority.
(2) Balance Archers:
less easy to play (higher risk, less forgiving)
not the main counter to itself (it should be more effective to pick up a shield and charge than sniping them)
(3) Get rid of the Archer limit (and overused floating icons - the King needs no tracking device either)
(4) Add a Hardcore mode (100% FF, team flinch, 1st person only, ranged spread, no floating icons and less health regeneration)
I have to strongly disagree that the icons buffed archers, because it made it impossible for them to hide and snipe you.
