Hmm, interesting idea. Certainly seems more fun than what flails are like now.

RE: Fist Fighting
Fist fighting is a very fun part of the game. Be it just for kicks with your buddies, or to humiliate people if that’s your thing…
I find it to be a viable way to finish people off sometimes since it’s usually unexpected.
I haven’t used fists enough to judge them as a balanced gameplay mechanic or not, but they are very fun to use and should by no means be removed!
Edit: @Squidy: Yea, it is a bit silly that an archer could kill a knight in heavy armor with his bare hands, and perhaps that a knight’s gauntlets couldn’t somewhat deflect slashing blows, but it’s fun, so I don’t think “realism” really matters here.
Maybe if people really are offended it could be a configurable server option. Maybe all the weapons should be configurable in the server options - that way everybody wins. If someone thinks certain weapons are unfit in some way, they can just make their own server as they see fit.
RE: Server Queue
It would be great if there was an auto-join / server queue feature built into the game.
Often when I play with friends we might have trouble joining the same server. Usually we manage to all join in after a round is over and some of the people on the server leave, but it’s a gamble. It would be really neat if we could just queue up on a server and join whenever a slot frees up.
Hmm, I wasn’t aware steam had an auto-join feature. Well, if it does, then it probably wouldn’t be to big of a hassle to get it to work through the game interface?

RE: Possible issue with stamina when blocking
I was looking at the patch notes and saw this:
- Regain 30 stamina on special dazed [when blocking out of stamina]
- Special dazed when kicked out of shield block.
- Getting special dazed when being kicked with shield up and you are out of stamina, you will gain 30 stamina.
From what I can tell, this special dazed thing kicks in. But isn’t it supposed to activate when you get kicked and you’re out of stamina?
I don’t think it should activate when blocking normal weapons at 0 stamina, or should it?
Either way, I don’t experience any kind of “special dazed” state when I’m using a shield to block weapons at 0 stamina and regain stamina… So I guess the stamina regen triggers without the “special dazed” being activated?
I guess I should test this properly with somebody and see what happens.
Possible issue with stamina when blocking
As I’ve mentioned on the Steam discussions, sometimes when blocking at 0 stamina with a shield, I seem to recover stamina instead of getting staggered.
It seems to happen plenty of times, but I haven’t seen anything of the sort mentioned here yet. If it’s of any relevance, I’ve noticed this while playing a Knight with a kite shield.
I don’t think I’ve ever noticed this before the patch, or maybe I just noticed this now because I’m paying more attention in duels.
Hmm, I’ll try to record a video to better exemplify what I mean sometime closer to the end of the week.
