Firepot needs a buff.
Yesterday I was playing on a server with almost all noobies (<10 rank) except for me and 2 others.
I was scratching my ass, or maybe picking my ass, as I pressed F3 to forward spawn. After I respawned (still deep in the throes of my ass) I started getting hit from behind. So I quickly pulled my fingers out and grabbed my mouse, immediately leaning back and pressing parry, just in time to get that sweet and totally fun/fair reverse overhead parry. otherwise known as ass parry.
I then proceeded to slaughter the nooby for trying to get a cheap kill on me.
He immediately filled the chat with haccusations and said I was doing bullshit and probably hacking. Then he said I did an instant 180 degree parry attack, or some other noob explanation.
I proceeded to tell him that if you lean back and parry, you will block 360s around you, making you almost unhittable.
He began calling me a troll and a ****** and that obviously there is no way you can have a 360 forcefield in chivalry, citing the fact that you must aim your parry at their weapon.
Despite me and the 2 other high levels explaining the reverse parry concept to him, he continued to haccuse me and call me names.
I draw 2 conclusions:
1: Noobs are annoying and stupid.
2: Reverse parries are really unintuitive and probably shouldn’t be in the game. Atleast not in their current 360 forcefield form. It makes noobs and vets alike turn their faces in disgust.

I have like 2k hours but a lot of that is map editing or idling so I don’t think it is a very good measure.
Also that S0ldier guy is insane. over 4k hours ffa grinding. I can’t imagine.

Alright boys im rank 57 now.
That means I am roughly 70.681798932% of the way to 60.
It took me around 2 years to get this far. So it should take me about 511 more days to get 60.
But, account for the fact I probably get 2-3 times more kills than I used to during most of my ranking, coupled with the fact that I play a lot more than when I first started, I think its fair to divide that by 3, for a grand total of:
~170 days. So around 6 more months.
Just in time for the Chiv 2 anouncement, and surely securing my living flame GreatSword veteran skin.
52k kills to go.
or in other words,
173 hours of DiningMaul.

so many reasons not to change it.
1: Consistency. Different shields getting different states from kick would be very confusing, especially to new players. Not to mention the buckler is already faster and easier to avoid stuns than the other shields.
2: It is pretty easy to avoid kick stuns any way. Just block at the appropriate time instead of holding it down.
3: Javelins are already one of the most OP set ups in the game.
4: Archers are supposed to be the weakest class in the game. To justify your logic saying they should be able to survive as well as a knight is just silly.
I could probably think of more. But I think thats enough.

yeah even stomping ffa in dining hall would still take hundreds more hours.
Im about 2/3 of the way to 60, with 1500+ hours, so even if I switch to full time ffa it would probably still be another 300-500 hours.
Just to get that sexy pink helm…

I am officially rank 56 and 5/8s.
I was perusing the rank chart earlier to see how many more kills I needed for 60 etc…
Currently I have roughly 120,000 kills.
Each rank takes like 14,000 kills or more at rank 56, which is crazy.
Any way, I need roughly 55,000 more kills until I reach level 60.
I do not think I will ever reach it. Hopefully a new Chivalry comes out or my addiction begins to fade, which I fear it already is. But I REALLY want that pink helmet…
On a seperate note, if and when they make a new Chivalry, I really hope we get some –->
Veteran Acknowledgement: Anyone who had rank 50 in ChivalyMW gets a free golden helm or maybe a free golden sword skin? To show we are veterans.
Or maybe we get a cool new knight skin that looks like a general/total boss, with scars and a beard.
Level 60s could get something special too? Like a flame sword? A dash of fantasy is ok, especially for the true gods of Chivalry.
However I feel this might mean a lot of people would start boosting accounts in order to get the flame sword. Because who doesn’t want a flame sword??

you are probably getting kicked because you lag. no one wants to play with a lagger.
ruins the game for everyone, especially if they are good at exploiting their lag.

I am just about ready for some light saber skins. Or a flame sword skin. Or an electricity sword skin.
So many possibilites now that any vestige of realism is out of the way.
Also, is there an easy way to view all of the skins? Links anywhere?

When Drunken Bazaar (my map) was first added, everyone complained how it was such an archer friendly map. But in fact I designed it so there was very few places archers could hide without being easily flanked. Finally people are learning to flank! 2 years in to Chivalry!

Character model skins
Generally I don’t care about skins, seeing as they do not really affect gameplay much.
Obviously it makes it harder to differentiate teams, but there are ways around this.
But there is one skin in particular that really bothers me. The mason knight skin that is super shiney black. It was one of the first skins added.
It looks cheap and unrealistically shiney. But even that does not bother me.
This is what bothers me:
It hides blood masks. At least on low settings (my settings). Someone with that skin can have 1 health, and they look almost identical to when they have full health. Being able to determine an enemies health is extremely important.
Furthermore, it hides weapons animations. Especially certain weapons. Specifically the black messer which was added around the same time. That messer skin matches the character skin perfectly, so you can hardly even see it when it passes in front of the character skin. Also, the messer skin is paper thin, further hiding its animations.
It also seems like most people who have one skin also have the other, and they spam the hidden animations relentlessly, forcing trades with abundance. I can never reliably take a hit trade kill because I can not guess what health they have.

I was playing the new Mason Vanguard.
The texture quality is great. But I found 3 big issues. Also, I play at 115 fov.
1: He has a really big pot belly. Looks really weird.
2: The legs are way too skinny. Looks weird.
3: When he raises his arms for the vanguard charge, it looks like his left shoulder pops out of its socket. Looks really weird.
