This port may be the kind of archer nerf we need. Gotta love thumbsticks. If this is a good port it’ll be a great addition to the x-bone.

the stats would only be accurate if only really high level players played on the server. because noobs tend to default to certain classes and would sway the results.
You could pull peoples level data as well to fix that. As well as the frequency of headshots with different weapons. If you could do it without impacting the performance of the server I think that it’d be a great idea.
I mean you could probably even run something like that client side on the sly.

I wish we had some cumulative records of the KDA’s on every weapon/class in different game modes. Surely a modder could create something to run on private servers? It’d be pretty invaluable for balancing and you could get great information out of popular duel servers.

I still don’t agree that the spear is as good or flexible as a majority of the other vanguard primaries. Then again I almost never feint so that might be the problem.

if you feint a lot the spear is pretty good vs knights as well
you will get rekt by SoW knights tho, no cftp is lameAll weapons can feint. I’m talking about the unique qualities of this individual weapon.
Also how’s fienting from that range working out for you agaisnt good players? -

You don’t let them get in range because of the knockback and backpedaling, so if they go aggressive and try to chase you down you can just bop them back, and if they play defensive you’ve still got the upper hand since you can hit them and they can’t hit you (because reach). That’s why spears counter heavy weapons.
So spears have the upperhand in 10 hour long 1v1’s in which the spear user plays perfectly? I understand what you’re saying, but I think practically it isn’t much of an advantage in most game modes.
Even in a duel:
-The fastest the spear user can win(without sprint) = 3 attacks with at least 1 being a overhead to the face.
Take into account that it is very difficult to damage an aware, reasonably skilled opponent from long range with the spear.-The Maul has the ability to 1 shot. Plus most of the hit combinations require 2 hits on a Vanguard.
And the maul has great hit trading, combo’s, drags and reverse overheads.
TB did not anticipate the effectiveness of advance techniques when they balanced these weapons.The margin of error is skewed as it should be. But consider the spears lack offensive of options combined with the aresenal the maul has. Like I said before, it’s awesome at stalling. Not so much an effective counter these days.
its a good vanguard counter as well with the 2hit kill

The Lemon guy is right. I really like the idea of the crosshair disappearing when aiming at smoke. That’d be an awesome addition.
I’d like to see them remove the center-dot on the archer crosshair when using range as well.
This warbow anti-archer damage nerf was retarded though. The start of this thread really highlights people’s actual motivations. Shame they just made it worse for themselves. -

Pretty much all attacks + backpedaling puts the knight out of riposte range, can easily spam him down, can jump away + thrust and always be out of range and safe. If the knight gets close you can just bop him back 15 feet with the slash knockback, or it’ll flinch him if he doesn’t parry it.
In my books walking backwards without either of you dying isn’t countering, it just stalling.
With all the advanced techniques it can’t do, it’s slowly becoming less and less effective. With only dancing and mind games to get past an good opponents block you’d have to be pretty manipulative to make it work as well as the swords, brandi or poleaxes.3 hits followed by a kick. Essentially a 3 hit kill.
Pretty damn good if you ask me.It would be if you could combo or drag the overheads to a useful degree.
And the kick requires you to let them inside your optimal spear range and lose any benefit your weapon offers.
It’s not the same as having to kick when using a sword.Definately no argument about it being one of the best support weapons though. Mabye it’s best left as a situational/specialized weapon?
