I still question the validity of Bearded Axe and Claymore OP status, by the way. Particularly when considering the Bearded Axe’s windup was slowed down…
Please go develop farmville then because I can’t begin to describe how wrong that statement is.

Really? How many weeks are we going to have the Claymore/Brandistock/Spears/Bearded Axe be like this? Once again, the snail’s pace of dev response is doing damage. The absurdity of these changes are one thing, creating obtusely broken weapons, but just how long are we going to go on with them? I seriously doubt just some guy in his basement is working on this game so having these balance problems go on for so long after a patch created them is just sad.
The devs should revoke mod tools/make modded servers a thing of the past and let the promod clanners wither away so that they don’t fracture this game any more just to slate their inflated egotism. Combo-feint-to-parry was a bug of game design and added NOTHING to the game besides a get-out-of-jail free card for bad “pros” that can’t play without a crutch for when they make a mistake.
Just let them go.
Most clan players are primarily knight-mains who can’t fathom playing without buggy-parry mechanics and magic blocks when they miss and should be punished when they could combo-feint-parry. Ironically the bads will go to promod, where the game will cater to their crap play while the greater game slowly dies because dumbasses want Chiv to be Counterstrike 1.6 when it clearly is an entirely pub-oriented game. They probably suck weenus at games with actual competitive scenes and are playing chiv just to slate some twisted elitist need.
Good riddance to the promod scum. This patch had its fair-share of wonky and terrible (claymore) balance changes, but at least it won’t be parry-bug abusing hell where the clanners can see who has the biggest e-peen by mashing q fast enough to cover for basic mistakes in play.
Team Fortress 2 would not have survived and grown so spectacularly since its release way back in 2008 without hats. There is NOTHING wrong with micro-transactions for non-gameplay effecting cosmetics when they keep the game floating and keep the community alive. The fact a lot of the new emblems are player submitted is proof of this concept. People who demonize micro-transactions only list the truly awful exampels of pay-to-win and pay-for-content examples seen in CoD, EA, and other games of that like. They ignore how well it works to keep games multiplayer games alive when applied properly.
If you don’t want to spend money on purely cosmetic items then don’t. If you do, then that’s fine too. It’s called player choice.
It’s a bloody lightsaber now. It looks stupid, feels stupid, plays stupid and is now the most powerful weapon in the game.
Stupid.
Lol how does this fucking shit still exist so far into this game’s release? All you have to do with this weapon is stab like a retard. Best speed, slowest windup, easiest spear stab to hit…it’s better than ALL the other spears! The stab is so fast that there is no reason not to use it at any range! Who did this fucking shit? It’s retarded, sickening, amateur game design.
Game is plagued with bugs, lag issues, map imbalances, weapon imbalances, and other easily fixable issues but the devs are just fucking gone. It’s kinda sad, really. You have a great game that is ruined by sheer neglect. Basic things like fixing facehugging, attacks going through shields, the majority of TO maps being defender-sided shit. You have duel mode and that works. The rest is regurgitating modes on different maps that hardly function. Really disappointing in the total lack of activity. Never even saw a bugfix patch after the release of the content patch. Sad.
The two things above the bug that the OP said is lack of skill. Te devs can’t change the fact that you suck.
The buckler is a slightly slower parry that can block arrows. You still have to turn with the buckler.
And the flail isn’t slow. I find them OP in my hands. Once again player skill the flail is not your weapon.
“I get occassional kills with this obviously underpowered weapon” and “u suck lrn2play” are not good motos to balance your game on. Please come back when you have a rational argument to why the Flail’s lack of speed, range, and damage, somehow make it better than, I don’t know…the majority of the other 1handers?
Oh right, “lrn2play” and all that.
I can almost smell the elitist. Do you have anything positive to note on the subject of hacking in this game beyond what a God you are at playing it?
