I’d prefer it to be one of those japanese visual novel games.

D’yknow, I think it would be really cool to get some kind of little “update” on weapon tactics. You know, if a certain tactic should be changed because of patches etc.
Just a little post on the forum, like “Messer tactics the same, except something something blah blah blah”.
Or would that even be necessary?
I’m actually going to start revisiting weapons at some point. Not a two set video review, but just a 7-8 minute addendum since the initial review, because like you said, a lot has changed over the lifespan of the game.
Maul is definitely one I’d like to go back over, as well as the Zweihander.
Awesome because:
a) Tactics revision
b) I AM PSYCHIC

Howbout we all just finally agree that all the classes are OP and nerf them along with all weapons?
Ahhhh the joy of being able to enjoy this game as it was, as it is and as it will be.
Games come and go, mechanics change, people laugh and they cry. The only thing you take away from it all is memories. Why focus your memories, your precious time of which have so very little in this world, on such petty woes. If you don’t enjoy the game, move on. There is plenty on offer. Remember only the good times you had, it isn’t worth it to you or anyone else to remember the bad times.
This game is more a matter of perspective then anything else. If you choose to focus on overhead lookdowns that is all you will see. If you focus on feints that is all you will see.
If instead you focus on yourself, on staying alive and winning. That is what you will see.
I had an interesting moment last night playing. Another extraordinary player was playing and we had exemplary battles. At one point a I did a feint at just the right time and it landed the blow. His response, ‘Nice fake-out man’, as that is what it was. I can tell you now that if I had of feinted earlier in that fight, I would have been killed. There is much more to feinting then the spam people think it is.
Enjoy the game.
It is fun to enjoy things, isn’t it? :)
I saw this happen to someone yesterday as well.
It was pretty funny at first though. I just saw some of my teammates heads explode for no reason, and then my head popped as well:D
The guy who was glitching out noticed it immediately, which is nice.
I really can’t stand that guy.
omg I thought you loved everyone???
I was also shocked and appalled by this revelation.

This stuff may be obvious to some of you, but I think it’s definitely worth a watch. Really interesting points were made (at least interesting to my feeble mind).

“Balancing for skill”
The way the noobtube is discussed in the video reminds me of the “spamguard” tactic. A lot of people complain about how it requires zero skill to use, but still nets you an incredible amount of success, but I kind of think it is this games “noobtube tactic”. Less skilled players will get a lot of success out of it, but you will never see a high skill player using it because there are much more effective tactics, and 9 times out of 10 a high skilled player will not get killed by a vanguard running around aimlessly swinging their greatsword.
Holy crap these extra credits videos are good. Hopefully these videos make people at least think about their current opinions on balance in this game, even if they don’t necessarily agree with what is being said in these videos.
Edit: “Think about their thoughts”? Me fail English? But how?
Best thread I’ve seen in a while. Maybe TB will finally fix all these issues omg!
Seriously though, I think TB has done a pretty good job in realizing that they are the professional game developers here, and that most people who complain on forums aren’t. I hope they continue doing their thing, instead of caving to every whiners demands.
