Sorry, but if you think this game isn’t ready for release, you need to stay the hell away from PC gaming. Dishonored, XCOM, Medal of Honor - three huge budget games released in the last month with much worse bugs.

RE: If you were offered a refund would you take it?
RE: Can we get some anisotropic filtering and AA options…?
There is MSAA via a command line tweak, but the game turns into a slideshow on my dual GTX 670 PC with it enabled. Am using SMAA injector until the devs can get MSAA working.
RE: Arrow velocity and bow mechanics
I personally don’t want ranged classes to get any kind of buff, be it a faster projectile speed or easier weapon switching. I’ve had enough of snipers dominating other first person games, and it’s refreshing to not have them totally dominant in Chivalry. Ranged classes are still extremely popular here, and as a melee rushing a skillful archer on defense it’s already hard enough to get to him without copping two arrows to the throat.
RE: Teamplay not promoted by game
Interesting - I’ve personally made several objectives and never noticed any reward for doing so. A slightly longer respawn time could help form bigger groups…
RE: Where do I set the AA in video settings?
You don’t. I believe some form of FXAA is currently forced, but the only way to enable MSAA is to run it in the slightly buggy DX11 mode, and then deal with terrible framerates. My dual GTX 670s could only muster 30fps at 1920 x 1080, High detail, 2xMSAA…
Teamplay not promoted by game
Absolutely loving the game, especially the awesome objective mode. However, I’m getting really frustrated with other players - in over 20 hours of play I’ve seen less than 10 minutes of good team work. No matter how much I try to get people to form up as a group via chat messages, people just keep charging off in dribs and drabs. As a result, it’s very rare for attacking teams to win - the defenders all group near their spawn (and thus objective) and easily pick off the smaller groups of attacks. I’d say my winning percentage as offence is less than 1 in 5 matches.
While the incredibly low IQ of many online gamers is partly to blame, other games reward players for teamplay by giving them points for team-based actions, which in turn go towards unlocking goodies. Chivalry has no such system. As far as I can tell, doing the objectives don’t reward many (or any?) extra points, and all weapons are purely unlocked by kills.
I’m hoping the players start showing teamwork, but so far so bad. Do the developers have any plans to add features that reward teamwork? If not, I’m worried this game will remain one big deathmatch, no matter what the mode.
RE: New Maps ETA??
Oh yes, a spooky wooded forest with flaming torches… now that would be awesome.
RE: No AA?
I too absolutely loathe jaggies, so tried the solution mentioned here with samples set to 2. It brought my framerate crashing down to 30fps (running max detail, 1080p). This is on a high end rig running an i7 3770 @ 4.5GHz with dual GTX 670s, but the lack of SLI support probably doesn’t help either. Can’t wait for you guys to get MSAA and SLI working officially, in the meantime I’ll deal with the aliasing.
RE: My review for a major Aussie gaming site
Sir Loin, my greatest respect to the soundscape you’ve created for this game. I simply can’t imagine how hard it is to get such high quality audio on an indie budget. Did you guys do all the voice in-house, using non-professional staff? If so that’s incredible, as they’re better than most pros at the gig.
My review for a major Aussie gaming site
Chivalry wasn’t on my radar, but after being disappointed by WotR and seeing that it was only $25, I thought it would be worth checking out. I’m glad I did - read my review on Ausgamers to see why I scored it an incredibly high 9/10:

I also reviewed WotR for an Aussie gaming magazine, which I scored 6/10. While I dig WotR’s swordplay, I think the rest of the package lets it down compared to Chivalry.
