I have to say that so far I’m very disappointed with DW…
With my game crashing now almost every match… my mouse sensitivity constantly lowering its self in game… parts of my UI disappearing in game…
Its really almost unplayable… I mean I don’t expect perfection, and Iv never played a “perfect” game but I do expect the basic game functions to work at release.
I love these “melee combat” games and that’s what keeps me coming back and I think TB did a great job of introducing the concept to ppl, but at this point I just want to see another company or team take on the idea… Hopefully someone can make this concept work in the future!
After playing Chiv since release I cant have much hope that this game will see any improvements either in the months to come, but ill keep checking in and praying =)

What about removing dodge form MaA and replacing it with backstab and another small movement buff … ? while also removing backstab from archers?
I think this would make the MaA a fun fast “rouge” class with backstab … and define the classes in a better way than they are now…

Lonely Knights in FFA
Im not sure what its like on the other game modes since I only play FFA… But since the last patch I find that there are almost no Knights playing FFA anymore…
The servers seam to be all Vans and MaA now, This has really made the matches feel less balanced and fun for me.
Its just never ending glitchy Vanguard lunge attacks and and MaA dodge spam now. I feel its really lost a lot of its “medieval combat feel” it just doesn’t feel like a good ol’ fashioned sword fight to me anymore…
Anyone else feelin this?

I feel as tho the Flail has some issues with being flinched too easily as well… Iv been using it a lot lately and find it almost impossible to do a hit trade with anyone. The flail just seams to get flinched every time… even in release

Inconsistant sprinting speed in FFA..
Anyone els seeing this in FFA?
Ever since the patch iv been seeing wierd sprint speed changes in FFA, like somtimes players sprinting towards you seam to get this wierd kind of sprint boost all of a sudden…
It seams like a chase speed mechanic kicking in or somthing but there isnt suppost to be any chase speed increase in FFA right?
I figued it for lag at first, but it happens to me all the time now with low ping players and I never noticed this thing happening before the patch…
And just to be clear , Im not talking about Vanguard lunge attacks or MAA dodging in towards me…Am I just having some kind of connection issue or is anyone els seeing this too?

I can see your point for TO games Clayton as the game is now but… but with a few simple changes such as adding a stamina drain for archers while bows are drawn (make archers pay for taking careful aim) and maybe adding a few objects for ppl to take cover behind as they advance…
I think this would make team play even more important and the games more interesting… Knights forming shield walls to help Vangaurds and MAA advance unharmed etc… I would love to see classes have more of a “need” for the other classes on their team in order to win team games.
Adding a class limit for TO games would do a lot to keep the games more balanced as well imo.Adding a stamina cost for sprinting would also help negate a lot of the issues that drive players away in this game as well such as facehugging and lookdown overheads… sprinting while fighting should come at a cost… and players should not be able to sprint around the map from player to player using these tactics non stop…
And just so its clear, im not against sprinting and attacking at the same time at all, I just think it should come at a cost .Do you want to use your energy to stand and fight? … or to run away? … or
run and fight for a shorter amount of time…After almost 600 hours of playing this game, I put almost zero thought into stamina and basically see it as a non issue in this game as it is, Sprinting is free and I can just parry and squat to regain full stamina in almost no time at all ,and I do quite well with this barbaric approach =)
We should all look beyond just Buffing\Nerfing weapon speed or power in order to make this game feel more natural or balanced, Adding more importance to stamina drain would be a great way to help balance and create distinct class tactics and fighting styles.

Running out of stamina..

I was just thinking about stamina when I was playing this morn. I feel like there is just way to much sprinting in this game now… Too much non-stop sprinting and attacking at the same time to be exact. Not that im against sprinting and attacking at the same time at all, I just feel there is just too much of it now.
What about giving player more stamina but make sprint cost a certain amount as well… OR… having a combat stamina bar and a separate running stamina bar?
I think adding more importance to stamina conservation would add a lot to this game, and should play a much bigger role.Almost every action we make in game should cost stamina to some degree…
I understand this would slow the game down a bit … but I feel this is needed and the battles as they are feel unnaturally fast .
Just a thought…

Timing out?
Ever since the latest patch Im having alot of connection issues… its like the server just freezes up for like 5-10 secs at a time even when my ping is under 50 . Im also timing out of servers alot, these things are happening to me over and over since patch.
Is this just a prob with my internet connection…? Or is this happening to others as well since the patch release?Thanks for your time,

Autokick for high ping?
I hear alot of debate and comments on feinting and face hugging on this forum… But what really has been getting on my nerves more than anything lately in Chivalry is players running around with a 300 ping spamming 2handers…
I feel as tho ppl are starting to take advantage of this “lag advantage” more and more as time goes by,seams every match has a couple of em running around spamming greatswords now.
These players really mess up the gameplay imo and take away alot of the fun of this game, and calling votes to kick them for ping seams to only rarely work
Has there been any talk of implementing an “Autokick for high ping” option for servers?
