    • RE: Weapons references

      They are generally called “medieval weapons”, “middle ages weapons”, or the whole class could be named “medieval weaponry”. There are no other widely-used terms.

      w0w0w0 let’s add wolverine claws and plasma rifles too! And catapults should shoot nukes.

      The middle ages lastet for about 1000 years. And yes there had been guns in the late middle ages. So theres no point to get sarcastic about it. There is just no way to balance guns for this game and we are better off without them, i think.

      I don’t care how long the medieval period lasted, the addition of firearms is not consistent with the game’s design, scope and feel. Just because something was available in the general timeframe the game is set in does not stand as an argument to include it in the game.

      And I am sarcastic because 90% of the weapon suggestion threatds i read all revolve around firearms, claw weapons, spiked fists or similar retarded shit.

      +1
      Kills are good as a measure of experience/rank. However, it would be good to see a % of players health damage done on the scoreboard. Especially for TO games because you can often do a heck of a lot of damage to a number of players only to have other players run in and steal your kill and you have to back away because they come in swinging their 2h.

      @Matti:

      Damage dealt would probably fix the “omg killsteal” problem. However I think that K/D should be kept as it is the most important and it should be the most important.

      This is like a dumbed-down billhook.

      Why are you comparing it to the Vanguard’s billhook? all that you know it could be the first 2 hander dealing Sharp damage for MAA.

      1. There is no “Sharp” damage.
      2. A polearm on MAA would mean overpowered range with dodge.

      Unless they die. But that realism.

      Lol, realism? Hope you are joking.

      Fully supported. Sprint is terribly clunky right now.
