Improve… Did you say… IMPROVE ? IMPROVE ??? This is pretty fun to read that when we know they have made 5000 patches to get a game with more bugs it ever had. The best thing they could do would be a rollback to January 2013. =/
Being the game is in alpha at the moment, glitches, aspects and weird mechanics are acceptable (…)
Chivalry-MW is not an Alpha and it’s as full of bugs as if it was one. Don’t think the final version of Chivalry-DW will be that different and/or fix and/or bug free. We know the greaaat TBS Team, now… We will be served another poo plate with no doubt…

But you failed by kicking TO out of your new game. Chivalry-DW obviously couldn’t have TO maps since Spartans, Samurais and the other scums aren’t chronologically compatibles, anyway. The worst thing is we need Chivalry-MW to play Chivalry-DW. Paying 40$ to play a game which will be most likely full of bugs and unbalanced too, made with a poor ten years old engine, is a little too much !
That’s precisely the reason why Chivalry is sinking. Now they have filled their cash desk, the team doesn’t care anymore. The “Flying Vanguards”, one of numerous game bugs, have been present since months… But instead of fixing it (or at least trying to) they are doing smartasses at PAX with their new baby. What can we do ? What can we say ? Nothing.
TBS has shown time and time again that they can’t handle balancing, bugfixing and community feedback.
Indeed. They were non-professional one year ago and having a new office and 1,2 millions sales won’t change anything (except getting an unjustified big head). No support InGame/Forum, no listening, no bug/balance fix, condescension, … Irritating and sad.
How to Attract AND Maintain a Player Base ?
Trying to make profitable the same decrepit game engine used in Chivalry-MW by creating an “new” Chivalry software (without the TO maps) to gain some extra $$$ instead of fixing the original one is a VERY bad beginning.
One the SDK is fully released they can do a competition and voice act several TO maps and make them official. A bunch of new maps with the smallest amount of work. Boom.
I hope you’re wrong. I paid for a game supported by profesionals, not hobbyist modders (even if TBS guys aren’t much more at the moment seeing they are still unable to fix bugs/exploits on MW). What kind of policy is that ?!
I like men but I don’t care about Spartans abs ! =) All I want is a solid balanced engine. A cool-looking one too if possible… For Special Abilities I could want, it would be as written below. Would it be balanced ? That I don’t know !
Samurai - SHEATHE : Pressing the Katana Weapon button would put the katana in the scabbard slowly, disabling run/attack/parry. Doing an attack during that stance would release a super fast 180° slash with longer reach.
Spartan - BREAKTHROUGH : After a long run, you would automatically protect with the shield which would kick off all people on contact. You would be unable to attack during that stance. A denfensive Vanguard Charge, in fact…
(1) As a team captain which order would you give to your Men at Arms ?
Burn those dirty piglet warriors… Burn them all (which help spliting groups) !!!
(2) As a Man at Arms what situations would you be in most of the time ?
1Vs1 fights or often hidden to jump at wounded ennemies and finishing them !
(3) As a Non-MaA what do you expect/like your Men at Arms to do ?
Attacking my ennemis from the rear to let me cut them off from the front…
(4) What are tasks that only Men at Arms can fullfill ?
Mainly assist/support tasks as previously said. MAA is so good for that ! >=)
