….why is it 3.5GB though?
Why does this game ALWAYS have ridiculous update sizes?
Good point. You could the same about other classes too though, but yes, it would make the archer the most unbalanced in that instance.
I think perhaps, like Sir Foxworth said, checking on whether the archer actually has a line of sight to the person, and THEN changing the crosshair colour would work.
Was this intentional? When I saw the latest update, and how the crosshair would change color based on enemies or friendly, I was pretty excited. Finally I would be able to tell at a distance, whether I was shooting at an enemy or not.
But the crosshair changes color for every class, EXCEPT archer?
Why? Is this a bug or intentional?
Work for TBS please.
if am not mistaken this bug was addressed in the patch that’s currently in beta
Oh was it? Awesome!
BTW, to anybody who is wondering in the mean time, the bug doesn’t occur if you join via the dev console.
Press the ~ key, then type:
You can find the serverip and port through the server browser, write them down, fire up the dev console, and no more problems!
I’m having exactly the same problem on all the Official Australian servers. What’s with this?
The standard message for a server being full is: “This server is currently at capacity”. (Or at least normally). “The server is full” seems to appear only when there are LESS than the stated limit of players.
At first I thought this was due to slot reservation, but then I started having the problem when only 10/24 or 15/24 players were currently playing. There is no way there would be that many slots reserved - if any at all.
This is a seriously annoying bug, and should be high priority IMO. If people can’t join servers - what’s the point in fixing anything else? Its not like they can go and play single player or anything …
I love this idea!
If any of you have played Planetside 2, then I imagine it to operate something like that.
I disagree that standard map size will work. This needs to be big. For it to be persistent, people need to have large area to play in. 64-128 players ideally.
There should be a way to view progress on a website or something. Perhaps even have multiple servers running different instances of the game, and an overarching server which combines points, to then display “faction control” on a chart or something.
Perhaps rewards or bonuses (which only affect this gamemode), to the side that has the most control.
Very important: people should not be able to change sides (more than once every three months or something anyway). Otherwise, there will be wild fluctuations in player count, and balance. There needs to be some consitency, so somehow, player membership needs to be enforced, rather than allowing people to choose a side upon server join. Maybe when they first join, they can choose, then the server notes that player’s steam ID and won’t let them join the other side for a period of time.
But bandages don’t heal people. They just stop bleeding.
