I love stabbing people with the spear. Most people dont see the stab coming, and they always undersestimate the range and speed of it. Also, the rollback on the mousewheel does a lunge jab wich is equally fast as the stab, so you can roll back and forth on the wheel with ease for two powerful attacks wich are both really easy to time.

RE: What is the best way to use the smoke pot?
I never thought about the King’s icon being visible through smoke! Thanks for the tip, gonna try that next time i play that map.
RE: GOLDIE MOVING PRETTY FAST
Sounds like someone created a hack with the maa dodge… :?
Yeah theres gotta be somekind of hack or exploit regarding the MAA dodge. I saw a player the other day, called “solid” or something, that were continously dodging all over the place, not like he sat there mashing the buttons, but like he was in constant dodge mode. Dunno how to explain it. Was really annoying!
RE: Funny tip for you guys
I remember being on a FFA server where one guy was doing this move, while moving about. It was damn near impossible to hit him. :?
RE: Fists of Fury
Yes fistfights are righteous. Sometimes when i break out my fists of fury, theres a silent agreement and the opponent sheates his weapon and we go at it. One time, the rest of the team stood watching and cheered us on. With two knights, the fistfight seem to go on forever, like in some old school action flick. :D
However, i am very disappointed that this was not the soundtrack of your video:
RE: It looks like men at arms are ready to be cut in half?
Yeah i noticed that texture aswell! However my research into this subject is continously hampered by the unwillingness of the subjects to be sheared in half.
RE: When you lose your helmet…
I too think vanguards without helmets are badass. Case in point––>
Archers, however, does not look very badass with their shiny bald-waxed heads. So for posterities sake i always try to keep my helmet on when playing as archer!
RE: High Damage Dealt but Horrible K/D (help)
Always carry with you two different sets of weapons. If your primary is a blade, your secondary should be blunt, and vice versa. Thus you can slice light armoured foes and pummel the heavy ones respectively. If the other adversary has a one handed, and a shield, you shouldnt face him with a two hander, but that depends on the situation. In cramped spaces you should go for a one handed weapon.
And always pick your fights if you wanna stay alive. Try to avoid big melees, and always keep an eye out for archers nearby, lure your enemies into places where their archers cant snipe you. If you cant do that, try to get the enemy between you and the archer.
If you have to face off against two or more foes, remember that you can move your mouse about to give your swings a wider range. Run of after a fight and allow yourself to regenrate if you can. Remember that running cancels regenration so run only until you are safe and then walk or stand still.
RE: Worst deliberate design choices
About the stamina question, I agree, its hardly a factor in fights. I remember only one time I actually ran out of stamina, and that was in a drawn out duel with some random Man-at-arms who thought dodging was the coolest thing ever. He didnt even get in a hit, he was just dodging, and eventually both ran out of stamina, and he got stabbed in the back by my teammate.
Also, when it comes to daggers defending, it should definately have a larger stamina penalty when it comes to defending with it. Defending against a larger weapon should have a bigger stamina penalty.
In medieval times, daggers were often used, as it was weapon that they could use much more freely than any other weapon in tightly pressed melees. They used it to great effect against joints and other weak points in armour. In order to best represent this, the dagger should be an offensive weapon, not a defensive weapon. It should be a weapon you would be forced attack with, not just defend with.
