Surprised there isn’t a sticky for this. Here’s a few of mine:
Ahh yes, Germans and their wonderful sense of humor. A massive club in roughly the shape of a light post, albeit with spikes the width of your thumb and length of your forearm placed around the square shaped head in various locations. Literally translated it means “Good day!” which is what they were reputed to have said when smashing someone’s ribcage in with it. I could see it on the knight or vanguard.
A curious weapon from india, it consists of a blade pointed outward from the knuckle. Sort of like brass knuckles on crack cocaine, it was particularly effective with a degree of martial prowess. Fast and deadly while puncturing enemies, I could see it on the archer as an alternative to the stab dagger. More range, less speed, decent slashing.
The ever so infamous repeating crossbow. It loaded a magazine of bolts in the top, and with a lever that could be pumped repeatedly to draw back the string and release, it could fire them rapidly. This isn’t some kind of van-helsing monstrosity, more akin to the light crossbow but with a full magazine of rounds with serious inaccuracy if fired while standing, and a long reload. But a fullisade of bolts may just be worth it.
For those who enjoy fisticuffs, why not strap some sharp metal bits to your fists and make it official? Aside from those gauntlets of course. Could even be sort of a “Status symbol” for those manly mustache bearing men who see weapons as those little metal things they use to remove chunks of human flesh from their teeth with. For all classes.
A scythe more like the traditional farming scythe, while unweildy, could provide a very interesting polearm. Requiring perfect accuracy to hit with the actual peak of the blade, but with massive rewards in sheer power and speed.
Alternatively a more realistic warscythe could provide an interesting addition. For vanguard.
Before you start screaming “WEEBOO”, consider that all the japanamation aside, these things were pretty sweet. Layers of folded steel to make sharp and fast, albeit brittle blades. They were never designed to contend with plate armor however, so I don’t imagine them being highly effective against the vanguard or knight. Possibly used on MAA?
As the name suggests, this weapon consists of a long slightly curved spike or “bill” on the end of a haft, somewhat in the shape of a scythe (Though generally much shorter). It was designed to be swung into an armored foe and punch a massive gaping hole through their armor. A nasty MAA/Knight weapon If I ever thought of one.
