    • RE: Kick update

      Going to have to side with najo on this one. Shield was only decent because you could avoid kicks with a bit of footwork and utilize ASM™ to avoid getting traded every time you dropped your shield to attack. Now you can’t even do that.

      As it stands, fast kick is cheesey as fuck and pretty much secures you the fight because it can FiR, leading to a huge stam advantage. Removing it and leaving the one (heavy) kick would open up the ability to punish poorly timed kicks, while still leaving an anti-shield mechanic in the game. Would also make it more consistent. Just my opinion though.

      @lemonater47:

      Yeah but it coulda been someone else with 300 health vs someone else with 300 health. Not Feydrid and Malric.

      Shame there’s no skins for generals and the like.

      Maaaaan voice chat would be terrible in pubs. I’m not even that toxic, but the sheer amount of salt per second I could dish out with voip would be absurd.

      Border of Arathane maybe? Seems to be some wetlands to the south/east, and the proximity to Vantear sort of explains why Malric is present, and slots in with Pilgore’s theory.

      @loin:

      They will be back soon, don’t you worry tbh. As soon as a few late house payments and heavy bills arrive. Let alone expensive tastes. Most likely slap some quickie together one evening to keep us plebs entertained.

      Found my next wallpaper.

      Excellent work tbh.

      They sound like babies.

      Gold helmets make the best bodkin magnets, and produce the highest level of salt when popped repeatedly upon leaving spawn.

      Support.

      Turn a 1v1 into a 2v1, cover flanks, make sure your team moves as a group to the objective, spam zz1, zz2, zz3 and z4 when you need to, tarpit for as long as possible when you’ve engaged 2+ enemies, combo break and parry for your team, learn to feint out your swings to avoid team damage, position yourself to avoid tagging friendlies, pressure with presence, zone and isolate players for your team, cover your archers so they can move up, zone the objective, tank an arrow for the guy on the ram, create space, the list is endless.

      First and foremost though, learn to control yourself. Biggest thing with FFA/duel players is they have no idea how to fight with a team. It’s not just about controlling your swings, it’s about being patient and understanding that if you’re team is fighting and winning 2/3v1/2, they don’t need you pitching in with a zwei overhead that’s going to hit 3 people on its way through.

      If you learn to fight well with people, people will want to fight with you. From there you can dismantle a pub TO with a group of 3-4 like minded players.

    • RE: Whats with the Vanguards of late inconsistancies

      @loin:

      The vanguard players movements are the same as the bots. They are both doing forward stabs,
      If the bot right now seems gllichy and way to fast as the animation has been moved up to his
      shoulder and the weapons reach and speed seems to be further then the animation , then it
      follows so do the players on the net. Are you suggesting the bots use completely different
      animations and movements to the bots then mr G? I was sure just a short time back all the
      vans forward strikes with his weapons were as the picture on the left. Launched at hip height tbh.

      It’s a fork mate. Has two stab attacks, one for overhead (which is the one pictured on the right), and one for the standard stab, which comes from about the waist as you see with most other van weapons. Nothing out of the norm from what I can see.

      @Butternutthesquash:

      Or fire arrows. No reason BOT Tim the Enchanter should get a flaming crossbow bolt and a rank 50 shouldn’t!!

      Tim’s an enchanter though.
