    • RE: Extremely Sexist

      “Extreme sexism” would be if they refused to sell you the game because of you gender not because you can’t play as your gender (tbh you’re going very OTT and it’s rather pathetic). Sure Joan of Arc was a female warrior but she was one person, there were no European armies with women serving in their armies en masse. I prefer plausibility, in a game with a more modern setting I wouldn’t complain about playing as a women…

    • RE: Lots of banding

      Nope, tried setting everything as low as possible but and banding still, plus I’m banding backwards and forwards so it’s definitely lag.

    • Lots of banding

      I know it’s not just me who’s having this problem. Since April lots of people have been getting lag no matter how low their ping is. Not the worse lag but it does make it hard to play, I was wondering if anything’s been said on how this is gonna be addressed. I love this game but It’s not very enjoyable for me at the moment. ;(

    • Flail

      YAY another Flail topic!

      At the moment the Flails are decent enough but the Buckler isn’t due to the Flails just-above-average damage, slow attack speed and very short range.

      While the Buckler is not useless when used with a sword with a knight or any weapon with the MAA. When using the Flail with the Buckler it becomes useless vs Knights and Vanguards (particularly Vanguards), this is because of the range and general heaviness of their weapons. You can’t get close enough to hit them without being forced to block or backing out of the attack. If you block their heavy weapons it pushes you out of your weapons range so you’re back at square one.

      My answer to this is very simple, reskin the Knights Buckler so it’s metal and reduce the stagger/flinch when you block hits. Plausible, easy and a bit more balanced.

    • RE: Female Warriors

      There’s already a pretty major thread on this. Imo not only would it be implausible but there’d be problems with female hit boxes being smaller due to the slimmer figures (and possibly shorter?).

    • Micro goals.

      The game needs more micro goals, I love having small things to aim for in a game other than my opponents face. The gameplay is great fun but I need something for my endorphin fix. ^^ More helmets, weapons if someone thinks of another niche for some, that sorta thing.

      What I was really thinking of though was reskinned (same model) weapons. Every so many kills you get with a weapon (thinking every 100, 200, 350) You first get shiny weapons then engraved and shiny and finally gold inlay and shiny (maybe gold leafed hilt). Something other people can see. I would think that this would be separate for each weapon as to prolong the process of unlocking it all.

    • RE: Archers in Duelmode

      Don’t ban them, just restrict them to using the pebble sling with no secondary melee.

    • RE: When will we see dual wielding ? :)

      @SavageBeatings:

      @magicmunkey:

      Dual wielding kind of does exist with the archer and knight buckler seeing as they both have a shield attack.

      That’s not really dual wielding, as in wielding two weapons of the same type in both hands. The buckler is not just a shield, it’s a companion weapon, just like a dagger can be. Used to parry most of the time, but can of course be used in an offensive manner. If punching with a shield is considered dual wielding, then I guess everyone in history with a shield were dual wielding. Shields are handy to hurt people with.

      Obviously it isn’t true dual wielding but the buckler is always was been used a as an ofensive weapon in warfare, not just for parrying. Kinda like a blunt parrying dagger. :P

    • RE: [WEP] How best to use the QuarterStaff?

      I get huge success rates with this on Duel and FFA because people don’t use it so people don’t really know how to counter it that well. I wouldn’t advise it for TO, KOTH or any team gamemodes where players stick together and help each other as it isn’t effective in situations where more than 2 people are attacking you.

      I find its best to start the fight with a poke and interrupt their attacks often as possible with this as very few weapons can wind up first, so far I’ve only had difficulty interrupting the Hatchet and Daggers but they both have much . Better to keep hitting their block as usually they will run out of stamina first and most don’t riposte, if they do then you still have a very good chance to parry.If you think it will be beneficial then riposte regularly but definitely don’t

      TARGET KNIGHTS! Due to their general slowness and medium range weapons they are easy, predictable fights and i can often kill them without them completing a swing. Just as they start to swing i use poke and interrupt then follow with overhead if possible.

      Vanguards are the hardest to kill, especially if they they are using the Zwei or Claymore. The Claymore is dangerous due to its high speed but as long as you step forward and interrupt their next attack at the right time then you should be OK, also blocking the Claymore isn’t too stamina costly so you might be able to riposte and start a combo. If you think they are going to attack you then attack them with poke first but be careful trying to attack them during their windup.

      Anybody who isn’t LMB spamming with the Zwei is harder to deal with and your best bet is to just wait until a large opportunity presents itself. If they do a double LMB swing combo then they are pretty open to an attack but beware of an overhead. Use terrain to your advantage.

      Be unpredictable, go defensive for a bit then then poke them in the face while on the backpedal. If you keep doing different stuff, even if you get parried often you will still catch them off-guard pretty regularly.

      I wouldn’t advise dodging unless it’s life or death because you may need that stamina when blocking heavier blows, especially since you can’t lunge attack now.

      I really hope they don’t buff or nerf it because I find it perfect to use as it is.
