I’m not talking about the zwei or the GS i’m talking about the broadsword or the HWS where when you stab someone in the front it looks exactly the same as if you stabbed to their left (your right) and hit them in the side the animations for 1h are not good enough to be able to have these sort of moves in the game, especially now with the bubble reduction. Thanks for all the tips but that is not what I am talking about
This was pretty common before the summer patch and very easy to counter with some practice. I admit it’s caught me out a few times recently because before this bubble reduction turning to parry these attacks wasn’t necessary. Parrying quite far to the left will catch almost all stabs coming from a 1-hander, unless they somehow manage to drag it to your right and hit you in the back.
I don’t think this is a problem with the animations, but more to do with the fact that the MaA on your screen is quite far behind where he is on his screen, and unless you’re on a LAN there’s always going to be problems.
Anyway, I agree with Mean 100%. Bubble reduction was the right move. It doesn’t have to be the ONLY move, but it was the right move. Anyone who thinks the game was perfect before the patch obviously never used a 1-hander other than broadsword or HWS, and probably don’t remember how good it feels to weave in between enemies and allies in team fights without getting stuck.
If people think handlehits need to be removed to make the game fair then I’d rather do that than ever have the bubble back. If stab feints need a bit of a nerf, fine. I’ll take it over the bubble.
I DO sympathise with crushed (believe it or not), if he feels like feints are unreadable now. It is incredibly satisfying to read a feint, and I don’t want that to go away. But I do think that there has been a major over-reaction, and raging saying you’ll quit the game won’t help it change. TBS seem to be listening now, so let’s come to an agreement. They’re never gonna get the balance right first try, or even maybe second. Try focusing a bit on the fact that they don’t seem to be planning to abandon the game balance for months, and that it’s very possible to have this situation improved, rather than quitting at the first sign of a little wobble.
