      Not to mention like 75% of the Aus/NZ community don’t even know about basic shit like “the bubble”, stab drags, chiv+ etc. etc.

      I had my server on Classic duels for quite awhile, but now have reverted it back to Vanilla as I constantly got bitching about how hard it was, even by other clan members. Sigh.

      A lot of people in my server are complaining about the mod, mostly because they’re used to Recovery Parry and other lockout timers are gone, Vanilla Chiv has made everyone a worse player.

      The only bugs that I have seen return from the Pre Patch base is desyncs, but after a server restart, it goes back to being pretty solid.

      My server has been running excellently since everything started working.
      Sometimes here and there it gradually gets a little bit more laggy (unsure if it’s the mod or the server can’t handle it being full while the mod’s running) but after a restart it’s all fixed.

      S’all sorted now!

      In the end, I was able to obtain command line access from Hypernia and add it in myself. Chiv+ came right up after that, and I just played an hour of it on my own server.

      Thanks again for your help Nabster, and thank you + the other Devs for making this mod. Feels and plays awesomely!

      Thanks for the reply Nabster, also thanks for those console commands, I’ll use those from now on to see if the mod is working. I originally was just seeing if the mod was working by what was happening in game/checking server browser to see if it had turned Blue, etc.

      Unfortunately the rotation didn’t work either.

      I’ve now sent a ticket off to Hypernia to see if I can get access to the command line, or if they can add the ?modname=cpm to it.

      If I could set it up without the command line I wouldn’t care, as the server only really restarts when I make it restart, it’s pretty solid otherwise.

      Hey guys, I played a little bit of Chiv+ yesterday and loved it, great job!

      I’m now trying to implement it onto my rented server, but am having some issues.

      Being Hypernia, I don’t have access to the commandline for the server, so I tried the other method stated in the install instructions: admin servertravel AOCTO-DarkForest_p?modname=cpm

      The mod, which was DL’d off Dropbox, is definitely in: ServerDir\UDKGame\CookedSDK__CMWSDKFiles. There is also a CPM_374068F14207E43EB76EA7B4EAF1714F folder which I presume is the extracted mod folder after the server ran it.

      The server gets people to download the mod upon joining, but the mod never seems to activate after putting the stated command above in.

      I’ve added the FFA gametypes to my maplist incase the server just needed to rotate to them, but still no dice unfortunately.

      Is there anything else I should try/do? I hope it isn’t something simple I’ve overlooked. x_x

      Otherwise I’ll just bite the bullet and try to walk Hypernia’s tech support through how to add it into the commandline.

      Ahhh, spoke too soon.

      I still haven’t crashed or had a black screen, but on the Bridge duel map I had texture issues. The two big rocks are Black.

      Stoneshill, Moor and Arena seem fine though. I haven’t yet tested all of the other maps for any graphical issues.

      I installed the patch this morning and the game has been running flawlessly.

      GTX 780, i7-4770k, 331.82 Nvidia drivers.

      With that said, my input settings, keybinds and some video settings were reset as usual. -_-

    • RE: Combat is a disappointing regression from MW

      The game definitely feels a lot clunkier compared to CMW.

      The movement speed is fine, but weapons feel like they have no weight to them. It also feels like they’ve buffed the movement on your mouse while attacking to further decrease the ability to drag.

      The whole concept of CDW is awesome, I love being different warriors using all new weapons, but the combat is just not as fluid/solid as CMW, IMO.

      I’ve told them not to do it and kicked the lot of them from the server. They have their own server they can kill each other on.

      Some new clan NH, or NR or some shit

      Never heard of them they probably aren’t competitive. Just a bunch of friends probably.

      NR is Noble Raiders, a fairly new clan with: Slutty Pawnda, Twigman, Mandalf, Ghost etc etc.

      Most of them are alright people, it sounds like something Pawnda would do when he’s bored though :P
