Who doesn’t hate facing a team of laggers? But the fact of the matter is, not all people with high ping are bouncing all over the place. Some of their animations work just fine. It’s the people skipping all over the place that are ruining the experience for others. Last night I was in a server where a guy with a ping of like 40 was skipping every few seconds (Yes 40… not 400.) And he was killing guys at much higher levels with just mashing lmb. I don’t know if this guy just had a bad computer and good internet or maybe some kind of hack… but someone on my team finally just switched over and started tking the guy… and I wasn’t against that. lol

The amount of archers I’ve killed is FAR GREATER than the number of times I’ve been killed by them.

Sure, they can be annoying. And it sometimes just doesn’t seem fair that they can just pick you off from the back lines. I’m very archer-concious. If I rush into a battle with archers, I’m going to constantly put my melee foe between me and the archer aim as much as possible, or use the environment to block, or act sporadic to throw off their aim. Of course, If archers are your bane… don’t forget the use of a common shield! MaA and Knight are your friends! If you play Vanguard… switch to MaA or Knight! lol

I will sometimes just wait back until I see a weakness in the enemy defenses and make a beeline for those archers! Tasty!

maul is fun to use… but whenever i see a maul user, I instantly say to myself “oh look, a free kill.” That thing is so slow.

I’m sitting around 80 hours of play. I’ve seen 1 speed hacker. It was in an official server mind you… so I don’t see how that effects anything. Kind of a funny story. Playing LTS. I was MaA and I had a knight on my side and there was only a Xbow guy. We rush his position and he takes out the knight with a headshot, I go in for the swing while he’s reloading and he suddenly gets out of the reload animation and flies about 100 feet away in the span of one second. Being a cs veteran, I’ve seen a lot of speedhackers in my day, so without hesitation I whip open the console and start a votekick. Then suddenly: THE CHASE IS ON! I’m just running… and dodging left, right, up, down… trying to be unpredictable. He’s frantically trying to kill me within the 30 second votekick time all the while everyone in the server with a MIC is yelling “RRRRRUUUUUUNNNN, HE’S RIGHT BEHIND YOU!!!” and “JUST A FEW SECONDS MORE. HANG IN THERE!”

hahaha. I managed to survive and win the round.

I can’t seem to block against someone with a ping above 100… up to 200ish. They just jump all over the place on my screen. In a game where it’s crucial to block the end of a blade… and you can’t even see where the blade is, laggers are a big issue. Should I try and votekick them? I just hate getting killed by a level 2 vanguard because I can’t see a damn thing he’s doing. He’s just swinging wildly, but his player model and swing animation are stopping and then starting and being all random. So frustrating.

I’ve asked this myself. Apparently there is not. A glaring oversight in my opinion. But you need to lower that… not raise it. Set the dodge reaction to 100 ms and it’ll just about resolve the issue.

Can someone please tell me how to take a screenshot? I just went 31-2 in a 32 player LTS server. I tried to press printscreen for a screenshot, but all it produced was a black rectangle. :( I’ll never get that kind of score again… sigh.

…unbind the feature where you double tap a direction to dash with the MAA. I already have dash bound to one of my side mouse buttons and I can’t stand when I’m in an intense duel and suddenly my guy jumps right into the middle of an enemy swing because I accidentally hit a direction twice. There has to be a console command… right?
