It’s not sad, TB abandoned their unique melee game in a state where it’s dominated by archers (and with poor balance), this is good enough reason to hope that someone else will succeed with their idea and do it as soon as possible.
get off the cheap section 8 internet? But seriously, if you are playing on wireless internet, don’t. Go drop $20 (50 Ft) and get a pre-made and terminated network cable. Run in between your carpet and base boards to hide and enjoy faster, more stable, lower ping internet. You can also try using TCP Optimiser (http://www.speedguide.net/downloads.php) to tweak your network card settings and have more connections per server. Check out that site as they have all kinds of tools for tweaking your network.
I’m talking about server communication error when trying to buy something. I have very gud yuropean internet and I’m pretty sure it’s not a connection issue.
But I get difficulties connecting to the server all the time.
I honestly think that who doesn’t know that archer is OP, its because they have a Pub mentality. Think on the competitive aspect, archers are fuck.
In pubs it’s just as bad if not worse - you have 5 melee for 1 archer in comp and 2 melee for 1 archer in 24p TO.
Playing a class that requires discipline to not kill team mates repeatedly, must be OP.

Playing a class that gets 1 or 2 shot by just about everything, must be OP.
Archers 1 or 2 shot every class as well, just from the distance.
Vanguard? What a joke, just shoot him wherever with anything and if he accidentally gets close, shortsword riposte/feint.
Riposte or feint seems like hard work, better watch for his windup and attack with Shortsword/dagger on reaction.
You need to be more situationally aware of the battlefield, if you see Archers in the distance, suppressing your field forces, you should do what they did in real warfare, flank the hell out of them, and avoid their field of fire. Even if they follow you, and try to stop you, a lone target, that means they are not firing into the melee, a high % of a hit. Archers are already weak as it is, off-hands included.

This is terrible advice because Chvialry is not a real-life setting and flanking archers on most maps is impossible and will make you die more often than not.
If you decide to flank 100 times, then it’s already 100 times detrimental for the team as you’re not fighting. Now:
For this flank to be a success, you have to kill at least two people, if you only kill one archer then it wasn’t worth it as you exchanded your life for his, but wasted a lot of time getting there. But as archers are usually close to spawn and behind enemy lines, even when you kill him you’re likely to get surrounded and die. So I would say odds are against you bringing any value for your team by flanking archers.
Could you not just jump their kick and lookdown messer their head off?
It’s impossible to jump kicks now.
As far as I’m concerned, a better kick makes Archers easier since most are too shitty to fight back competently.
It gives them more staying power as they don’t have to fight anybody if they don’t want to.
It’'s shoot, shoot, shoot - danger? -> kick, run away, kick, run away, shoot, shoot, shoot.
How is that an indirect archer buff?
They could just run away after chase mechanic nerf, and you barely had any chance to catch them. Now if you get semi close, they can kick you from a mile away* and run away endlessly.
*kick has now more reach than standstill Longsword stab.
