That or pebble archer for me. :P

Isnt it even easier to pull off? I think as soon as you change your setup from archer to anything else, the game registers that as -1 archers. So as long as you (the still archer) don
t die, you can have 1 archer more. I am 90% sure I can pull that off almost all the time.
Yup. At first I thought you don`t get any time at all until I payed extra attention to those two minutes. xD
Btw, I just played it and guess what… As if the game wants to punish me, Mason won that shit lol. :/
I agree with Lemonater47. In my experience in almost all instances when Mason got to this objective, they won. Maybe because I am always a Mason :P
But more seriously; Mason might be far from the objective, but there are many routes you can take to get to Malric. Also the “Freeing Bar” only fills up when you completely destroy a lock. So if you manage to sneak through undetectedly and no one camps there, you can turn the match pretty much on your own. This is especially easy when Agatha gets over-confident and throws everything they have into the “broken stair chamber” and Mason spawn.
Shore (is that the flag in the end one?) on the other hand, ist the most broken piece of shit map, I ever had the misfortune to play on. At least here in Asia, Mason seldomly wins this one no matter how much time they have on the flag. And that is even though the flag icon generally bugs out about 20 seconds into the objective, which actually should disadvantage Agatha.
Yeah I also think thats the case. If you
d cap fov at a reasonable value, balance out Messer or erase heavy javelin completely etc - and therefore take away their “no-real-effort feel-good toys” - people will riot. Way more than us, who periodically try to point out flaws in the game to bring it to a higher standard. At least to our understanding.
@loin:
I often hear all these excuses like the screen gives me headache so I must put the fov upto at least 130.
The fact is If you want to be a pro at fov 90 or 97 even, simply have your screen 2 or 2 and a half arms
lengths away from you. You would be surprised at how amazingly fantastic the game looks and how well
you move. No stretched arms or pin like bodys. 2 arm lengths minimum. After all most of you don’t sit
practically on top of your TV when watching it so you can be a demi god of gaming using the 2 arm
lengths away from pc screen for fps games .
Motion sickness in video games is a real thing though. Fortunately I only get it in some fps games with a way to close fov. I play on a laptop btw due to being on a study abroad and cannot do that 2 arms length trick. I dont even have space for that lol. Though I do recall one instace I hooked my machine to my TV (when I still had one back in Germany) and that was quite cool. As a side note, I even had to go into several Fallout 4 config files to manually add FOV changing lines, because I couldn
t play that game for longer than roughly an hour in its default settings. Either that or hook in a controller and go as far away as possible.
I play Chiv - and I know you wont like that :P - 1st person FoV 135\. I could probably adapt to a forced hard cap at 120, but 135 proved to be "perfect" for me. It's not too revealing to actually gain a grant advantage. I could also adjust it up even more and probably "get better" at the game by that. At least stat-wise, but personally I just don
t like using things I (and the majority) do condemn as easy mode or cheap. I never used AWP in Cs 1.6 back in the day and I absolutely detest Messer or high fov polearm gameplay etc etc.
Addendum for the general thread:
For me it is less a “false sense of accomplishment” how Virtual puts it, but more a sense of rightiousness (maybe?) if I look at it from another perspective. I don`t know lol. I just cannot stand this “everything for the win, I am the BESTEST player in the world” attitude a lot of those players have. Instead of having diverse and high-skilled quality fights with cool guys, maintaining a chill but tense (yeah yeah, contradictory but you know what I mean) atmosphere while trying to improve yourself instead of cheesing out on your opponent, they just want to win no matter what, every mean is good. E.g. Dreadnaught, butcher messer, fov 155+, spin to win tards on duelyard. And then be elitist about it… I call that “Call of Duty Syndrome”. People claiming to be the best, not realizing the game actually does most for them, not themselves. (Messer!)
It looks like a lot of salt I guess but trust me. I dont get salty if I lose or if I am not top player on the scoreboard. Though I thoroughly enjoy that like everyone here and I do want to be the best player on the server. But I think wanting to be the best player and just wanting to win are two different pairs of shoes, if that makes sense to you guys. I just refuse to jump on the bandwagon, where the game only circles around a few loadouts and settings because they are the strongest, if you use them correctly. And using them mostly isn
t even that hard (Messer!!). Because that is what ultimately kills the game imho.
To shortly get back to Cs again. I used to frequent on a server that played a lot of different cs_assault variations, that were actually very balanced. As soon as the first person got an AWP though, others followed. It then turned into an AWP massacre forcing people to leave the server because they don`t want that bs. And that usually killed the server for the evening shortly after.
Phew. Got carried away there, didnt I? I thought I'd put out my two cents on that topic, because I didn
t really read anything like that in here and am curious as to if people agree or disagree on this perspective. Basically, am I alone with my bullshit here? :tongue-new:
Those two are the kickstarter helmets only 32 people own in the PC version of the game. And in 1200h I have met one of them. You obtained it, if you pledged 150$ or more back in 2012. The right one is also found on Malric`s head. The left one, I think is found nowhere else in the game.
Wow, that came straight outta no-where. Can I test the Beta even without owning Deadliest Warrior? I have avoided it like a plague, listening to all the Chiv players who tried it out. But if that game now “works” properly, I might buy it. Though I want to test it myself first.
I mean if knights at Agincourt suffocated because they went face first in the mud and couldn’t get up
Is this actually historically proven or just a halftruth or story? I ask that because there is a world-wide spread myth of the immobile, slow, turtle-like Knight who can barely use his equipment because of it`s sheer weight. Which is completely wrong. They were in fact very agile for what they were carrying. Just look at it with common sense. Armours were made to survive on a battlefield. So they naturally provided the best mix between agility, protection, vision etc. In which ratio depended on the situation and preferences (fighting style etc). Additionally, Knights have been trained in Mortal Combat (pun intended) gradually lead to using full plate armour and steel weapons since they have been kids.
I recommend this channel for everyone interested in such stuff: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCIjGKyrdT4Gja0VLO40RlOw
As for the feint mechanic. Great idea mate! Would destroy the current fast weapon stab feint meta such as SoW, Clay, Pole imo. Would also render feinting into a more risk-reward thing, with the reward not being so extremely high with damn high chance of a possible positive outcome for the feinting party.
On topic of the FOV capping and 3rd person removement, I agree as well. Too many times I have had to fight off Messer Mongrels crouching all the time to abuse the block hitbox with a FOV of at least 145 to get a good round view (even in 1st person) attack gambling basically only behind their own back. Same goes for high-fov (3rd person) polearm vanguards. The reach and knockback of e.g. a halberd or sometimes even bardiche combined with 3rd person and reverse attack gambles is only fightable with a lot of patience, a high frustration limit or you using the same cheap ass tactics.
But don`t cap it to 90, rather 120.
I am waiting for that video I referred to. They say it is very obvious in that video, that he uses a speedhack.
Edit: Now I got a problem. The video doesnt exist (anymore). I will try to provide more evidence when I see him again. What
s the packet loss command?
