    • RE: CU1 Patch 1 Now Live! March 29, 2013

      glad to see some new updates. I like not having to download a new client every time I switch from beta to live.

      Chivalry’s numbers are dropping every week, below 3k now. With War of the Rose’s new update and free weekend this weekend, watch for Chiv’s numbers to be in lower 2ks. My prediction is by April Chiv’s numbers on steam stats will be less than 1500.

    • RE: LTS as a Competitive Mode is Flawed.

      The reason LTS is flawed as a competitive mode is because of turtling, What competitive scene is fun to watch 2 teams sitting until the time runs out?

      In other competitive games, sitting around or turtling will cause you to lose the round, you have to put a timer on a team, and then swap sides to make it competitive.

      Like CS, 15 rounds on CT and 15 rounds on T, T has 3 minutes to plant the bomb or they lose.

      Imagine if they have all day to plant the bomb and if they don’t plant the bomb, no biggy?

      Who would want to watch that?

      The competitive scene should be about high skilled players and action, not the strategy to turtle.

      I am all for something like LTS+TO/CTF. It is like a search & destroy mode that Call of Duty has.

      You only get 1 life so make it count, both team has an objective to do. Either kill the entire opposing team or complete the objective before they do. If they want to sit in spawn all day, they lose.

    • RE: Chivalry needs something

      @remix’s remarks

      http://steamgraph.net/index.php?action= … 1358315541

      That is the past month’s numbers, since the free weekend (~23k players) it has been dropping down to ~3-5k now.

      If you check the stats before the free weekend it was ~3-5k and now back to the same ~3-5k.

      I am not trying to argue or debate with you, I think the game needs something to build a stronger player base.

      I was just wondering if anyone ever notice this, and maybe there is something wrong that out of the 23k players that tried it, and the people who bought it, they don’t seem to be very interested in continue playing it.

      It could be the fact that there are so many good games out there now. But Chivalry wants to be competitive in the gaming market, correct? If so, they need to market the game better, and add some sort of “progression”, could be working toward helmets, etc. I know I had a fun time unlocking the veteran helmets.

      Thank you all for your feedbacks.

    • RE: Chivalry Newsletter #1 - January/February 2013

      Events is a great way to promote community and fun, but there needs to be rewards for participating, like a limited time helmet, or banner, etc.

      Make the even last long enough that the word gets out and people will play the game to get this helmet, the helmet won’t be easy to get, maybe 1 month event, must play at least 40 hours/1000 kills, etc.

      Make it challenging, rewarding, and it will flourish.

    • Chivalry needs something

      Once at a healthy 5-8k players on steam stats, is now a 3-5k daily cap.

      At free weekend there was 20k players online, but after only 1-2k people stayed from the 12-13k players.

      Do you guys wonder why?

      I think it is because the game lacks things that Counter Strike and Team Fortress 2 has.

      Counter Strike - eSports, clans, scrims, healthy competition
      Team Fortress 2 - lots and lots of hats and some aspects of competition

      Since Chivalry is amongst this category, please implement things that CS and TF2 has.

      Chivalry can also add cosmetic things and promote clans and tournaments.
      The main reason why dota 2 and LoL is so big is because they spend thousands of dollars promoting their own tournaments.

      You must invest money to make money.

      I think its a good idea to drain some stam while drawing the bow and not shooting it.

    • RE: 45 wins and 90 losses at Duels. Feel like quitting the game

      Your Win:Loss ratio in a duel server does not say how good or bad you are as a player. Play against good players and every time you lose, make sure you know why you lost.

      Your losses means nothing if you don’t learn from them.

    • RE: Shield-kick delay is BAD

      @BGrey:

      @Kenuric:

      It is real easy to avoid if you only raise your shield when an attack is clearly headed for you and it is in range to hit you.

      So whats the point in using a shield in this situation when you are forced to use it just like parry but don’t get a faster counterattack.

      The use of a shield is mainly to block arrows and not turtle and block all attacks.

    • RE: More Helmets

      Good ideas and I, like many others would pay for cosmetic helmets/banners as well.
