Many people will be happy to here that, TB. I think there is a very widespread mentlity among customers that they somehow “own” the developers and the developers job is to do whatever the customer demands. Thats not only the wrong attitude, but we would still be in the 90’s if developers did whatever customers wanted. We NEED experimentation to create innovation. Easy as that.

RE: Falcon Ridge - Level Feedback
It might be a good idea to combine Falcon Ridge with Ravine. Then you can easily split the map into different sectors for different game modes. Similiar to Ruins and Ruins_large in Chiv.
You might have one less map on the paper, but no one can claim that it looks just like another map.

RE: CPU/Video card - what FPS do you get?

Cheers for putting the EU server up.

RE: Very first impressions
I would have to agree with the “clunky” part. I’ve pointed this out 6 or 8 weeks ago, and I know the Devs are working hard on it, but this is the main issue so far. My “fears” have been confirmed, as I was hoping that a good ping would fix most of the issues with responsivesness. However, after playing on an EU server with a reasonable latency it turned out that only some of the responsiveness issues were fixed.
Now, clunkyness is ofcourse a broad term, so I’ll try to explain what I mean with it.
- Blocking feels unresponsive. For some classes the animation that leads up to the block seems too long.
- The second, but perhaps even more important part of the issue is that some combat animations are “confusing”. It can be very hard to identify which part of the animation is wind-up, attack, and wind-down. This is especially true for the classes that have duel-wield weapons. (Always forget the name).
Overall, sorry to say, the combat does remind me a lot of Deadliest Warrior. Not as snappy as many of the testers are used to from Chiv.

how long does it take ? havent got any response yet ?
Hello @whybanme,
Sorry for the delay. We decided to unban you to give you another chance. Please take a careful look at the server rules to avoid any complications in the future. http://forums.tornbanner.com/topic/23535/official-server-rules
Note: It may take a few days for the unban to come into effect.
Have fun,

RE: Paxo has been cancelled
@Clouseau said in Pax has been cancelled:
This simply proves what a Canadian troll who gets away with smearing other members of the community you are.
First it was lemon constantly smearing his post count, I note TB doesn’t do anything about you at all being of the
same country. No other members would get away with simply digging up another users posts to remark aboutin a post. This kind of allowed smearing by Torn Banner by a Canadian just enforces the anti Euro racist image
they have. Any other member from any other Country would have the post deleted, I even noted before after
you started a fight on the boards trolling offensively as usual that the other person had his post deleted by TB
despite you starting it , yours were left intact. We have quite a few EU admins aswell by the way. If people break the rules they get infringements, and if they dont, then they dont get infringements. Why do you think anyone would have an anti Euro bias? You can get away with as much as anyone else would Loin ( @clouseau ).
On a sidenote: this has to be one of the most lenient forums I ever saw. There is a flight / tank simulator game, which you may or may not know, and that forum is lead by russians with an iron fist.
Slightest deviation from the forum rules = thread hidden or deleted.
Too much criticism of the game = they’ll find an excuse to delete even the most harmless and well formulated posts.
On their forum they have a ban reason that reads something like this: “Questioning the mental health of the developers… can lead to… infringements”. This includes throwing words like “crazy” or “out of your mind” around.Just realise how good this is in comparison. Here you can say anything you want aslong you’re not throwing blatant insults at anyone.

@SgtHannes I want to ask for ban shortening, 4 months is surely not fair in my situation.
My ‘‘teamkilling’’ was mostly taking legs of other players while our team had a sure win, usually with my great contribution. Black knight have it’s own rights, most of the players enjoyed it, and when i was rightly kicked for that i wasn’t mad.
There are people who come here daily, all they do is mindless teamkilling, and none of them was banned. I have almost 1600 hours in Chivalry without any ban and i get 4 months in my first ban for such a thing?
I think 1 month ban or longer ban for black knight servers only would be fair in this situation, as i’m not going to do it again.Hello again @Parias,
The ban time will remain unchanged.-SgtH.

RE: Drags...but why?
If they were to remove drags, how would they do it? Are they gonna lock the player in place for the duration of the animation? That would not only abolish all drags, but ALL combat. Chivalry lives off of wierd combos, thats what sets it apart.
Some people see drags as if they are an isolated gameplay mechanic that could be switched on or off, but drags (along with all other combo moves) are a result of the player being allowed to move around during combat to modify his attacks.
