Even while i know usefulness of pavise shield, i would like to have an option. Since sometimes i dont want to exploit passive block mechanics and sometimes i dont want to be big red/blue target.

Agreed with most changes, but i don’t like Javelin ammo reduction - removing quick switch trick will stop Javelin spam so no need to reduce ammo count. If you still want to keep reduced ammo make it -1 not -2 and add ability to pick up your javelin from dead enemies if you hit them with it.
I don’t know if it missed or just will be included in next patch, so there is fixes I like to see:
- Fix it or just change item description on Short Spear since it cannot “be thrown faster and farther”. I tested it and Javelin and Short Spear have exactly same range and according to this change list they will be given exactly same throw windup.
- Fix issue with any throwing spear stuck to object or person they always appear as Javelin.
- Make that after setting a pavise, you always switch to last used weapon.
- Fix issue when if you hit during any ranged weapon reload - reload process will start over again.
- IDK if “Fixed sisue with javelin getting stuck” is same issue or not, but sometimes after few shots your horizontal sensitivity reduced to almost zero so you cannot move your crosshair horizontally when you aim your ranged weapon (it happened mostly with javelins).
- I’d really like to see option “hold RMB to aim a crossbow” instead of trying to turn it on and off after any reload, sprint etc
RE: Buffing Maul
I don’t think Maul needs a buff other than increased stamina loss for blocking larger weapons, which probably going to be implemented in upcoming patch. Maul is very powerful when fighting with opponents unfamiliar with it and you feel like badass when you one hit kill a Vanguard, BUT with competent opponents it’s very gimmicky and you must rely on them to make mistakes rather than you make good decision or feint. And, for good opponents Knight has backup Norse sword.
Only thing I hope will be implemented it’s a distinctive sound (grunt or clash) when opponent flinch you out of attack. It will help anyone recognize when their attack is interrupted and will be extremely helpful for Maul users since its windup animation happens offscreen, and sometimes after enemy hits you, you don’t know did they stop your attack or not.
RE: Javelin Fast Reload Trick
I think that quick switch technique it’s how javelins should work, and that the standard reload currently is broken.
-It just too long especially for a semi-melee class and you can’t block, attack or sprint during it.
-Often if you were hit during reload animation, it will start all over again, allowing for opponent to hit you a second time.
-There is bug where sensitivity decrease(one that you have while ADS) will accumulate, so after some time you won’t be able to move your crosshair while aiming your javelin.
-There is some glitchy crosshair movement when aiming and throwing javelin if you crouched.
-There is no way to tell where is center of screen if you choose to turn off the crosshair.
-There is no benefits from throwing javelin while sprinting besides increased spread.
So i don’t see any reason not to use switch technique since all what opponent needs now it’s just rush you and keep you in infinite reload animation. If you miss or they block that javelin throw attempt - you are dead, even if you hit them(you can only 1HK other archers on body hit) you are probably dead too since they will catch you in that reload animation anyway. Only thing you can try to do after a throw(successfull or not) is try to run or try to pull out your side arm. For the first one they have that “chasing” mechanics, and for a second one they have longer reach and more damaging weapons.

Hello everyone here is my day one first impression wish list + bug report. I only played as archer so it will be centered around him.
Crossbow bolt is off centered slightly to the left, if used without a crosshair and bow is off centered more slightly to the right.(tested while crouched)
If “toggle to sprint” is on, you cannot ADS until you press it second time to stop sprinting even if you stand still.
IDK what is a reason, but sometimes after reload, it don’t shows bolt in the slot even though you can shoot it.
Javelin kills count towards crossbows unlocks.
After you set pavise, you alway switch back to the secondary weapon no matter whatever weapon you hold before.
I don’t like “hold then release button” to shoot. It ok for javelin and bow, but feels unsuitable and laggy for xbow.
I don’t like need to stop aiming before switching to secondary weapon, while you CAN reload while ADS.
Opponent’s strikes force you to out ADS. I agreed with that, but when coupled with slow weapon switching/no kicks makes you feel completely helpless.
Add option “hold RMB to aim a xbow”. If you aim and try to reload, you will re aim after reload is complete and vice versa, which can be irritating.
Add possibility to set two actions on one button.
Add ability to kick with bow/xbow.
Add option to not use pavise (mb 1-3% speed buff? I’m ok even without buff).
