@reithur Disjointed, in a nutshell. Can’t really nail down anything specific, but it reminds me of Tinker’s animation problems, only slightly more so. Know that isn’t too helpful, but yeah. Seems like hitboxes lead or lag the actual sword itself.

@x3mslayer You are getting credited for your experience during this time. You can actually see your level increase in the menu screen, at the bottom right. I haven’t been shown to get any xp for two days now, but I’ve gone from level 50-60 in that time.

Glad to see this post, even if it is just because I’m still sore about the poor balance changes.
I’ve come to the conclusion balance changes end up in the negative - that is, in the long haul, balance changes are always end up making a game worse in the end than better. I quit playing all my favorite games because they eventually screw up the game with bad patching. Except for 2142, and that’s because they never really touched the balance (which was basically perfect, but I digress)

Keep it the way it is now. A move that allows you to make up for any mistake is ridicolous and shouldn’t be in the game.
Except that panic parry is literally a move to make up for mistakes, just alot easier then CftP and every noobie can do it by just mashing right mouse button after a miss without even knowing the mechanics.
Spamming attacks IE combo spamming without thought it not skillful, if you are going to miss then don’t combo. The current system helps add a reason to not always combo, prepatch there was no reason not to besides having zero stamina. Attacking prepatch was the more defensive option, because you bypassed recovery. You must attack to be defensive. How does that make sense?
Well the current system pretty much is a “1 attack dont combo” meta, especially looking at the viable competitive weapons. I dont know if thats any better, especially coupled with how broken man at arms is right now and how many weapons are total crap because of this change.
I always thought it was skillfull to 1vN while having to combo feint parry and aim your parries to survive. The current system is harder, but not because people got better or something like that, but because the game restricts you now artificially.
I dont know whats skillfull about panic parry. Nothing.
All of this. Panic parry requires nothing but a right click, whereas CftP requires advanced planning and timing. Much more skillful. The current mechanics are so bad it is hard to enjoy the game much anymore.

To be fair, I thought TBS was doing quite a good job all the way up until they announced Deadliest Warrior. Now they’ve went dark, offering no communication to their community so a bunch of people just said, “eff this, I’m out.” Can you blame them?
Customization was a cool update until we realized how many bugs they introduced and even then it was still okay until we found out they were going to take nearly a month to put fixes into the beta to address what they broke. Even before they moved into the covetous office they were quicker at addressing issues like these. Top that off with unnecessary additions accompanying the paltry few bugfixes that took a month to only make it to the beta, such as the completely unnecessary crosshair mechanic and ruined Agatha customization colors. It became clear they shifting focus to the yet-to-be-released Deadliest Warrior going full steam whilst leaving our cherished MW in the dust.
To say nothing of the atrocious Mason ‘Red and Ugly Grey!’
Seriously tho, ever since the patch with panic parry the game has gone downhill fast. Which is really too bad.

It really is disheartening - every new patch that comes out makes me and my friends much less inclined to play Chivalry.
Seriously TBS, what are you doing? There wasn’t a problem with colors to begin with. Mason has ALWAYS been red and BLACK. There’s even a voice line in game referring to it. The grey is much less distinguishable, and it looks retarded to boot.
