The Greatsword thread is going fairly well and a good amount of people have voted so I thought I’d make a thread about archers since I’ve been seeing a lot of people saying they should be nerfed.
I think they have too much damage overall personally. In age of chivalry if I can remember right, your arrows did more damage if they hit a target from a longer distance away, and they did less damage the closer the target was. This is good because it encourages you to stay at range. I think that you would also take damage from parrying large 2 handed weapons which is also good because it encourages you to stay at range, where you should be as an archer I think. An archer should be no match for a vanguard or knight or even man at arms in close range and yet they kind of are.
I think these were both good mechanics that could work in chivalry but this is all of course just my OPINION. Vote in the poll and let me know what you guys think about archers in this thread.
What are your reasons for/against an archer nerf?
You say your previous thread is going well and but, as optimistic as I am, I still have to admit that despite you speaking of this with high hopes I really do not expect TBS to make any changes to chivalry based on any threads made by anyone. But hey, 3 years lafter the games release removed first hit flinch whilst still overlooking bullshit like vanguard charges, ridiculous turnspeed caps and various other things that people actually wanted changed. So what can you expect from TBS eh? If you ask me, nothing good. Unless you like paying more money to a dead game to wear a silly looking cosmetic item.
