- Game is fun even in this stage, got some logic problem, bugs, bad servers; I paid 35,99€ for preorder and by my opinion it is worth the money I had a lot of fun in these few days.
> My criticism/opinion as person who own and who played over 150 games:
Archer class - shots are going through targets it literally can be seen ( people with better/higher ping or uber small hitbox? Hmm); other classes are fast as this class there is no logic in that, archer should be fastest class as they don’t have armor or have light armor; if classes can block with spear and other weapons with wood handles why you can’t block with bow (at least 1-2 hit) it would break instant with steel in every way. Crossbow bolts should go much faster and more straight you should know that when you are making games like this; every headshot with bow/crossbow (without helmet that cover whole head ofc) should be instant dead on any class, with crossbow it should be at least 80% to instant dead with helmet; as crossbows were actually made to penetrate knights armor.
Other classes - try in real life swinging sword while crouching lets see can you do it, attacking while crouched should be removed from game same as 360 swings; lets use logic if you swing sword and hit your first target how can weapons hit other targets? Did you watch tests of real life weapons longswords, war axes etc. It can barely go through pig imagine going through armor of 3-4 targets with 1 hit, it is really stupid, max 2 hits per swing would be fine for a game. Some of the armors should be able to repel bow arrows (just BOW) at some small % or they should do less damage if they hit into armor. Blocks don’t work sometimes even target is in front of me and stamina is full, same happens to my targets; kicks should eat stamina and be slower, fighters in UFC can’t hit fast as that even without armor… 2 handed weapons should be fast as 1 handed or 1 handed should DEAL LESS damage. By history 1 handed swords were 1-2kg and twohanded from 1.5-3.5kg, logic u use 2 hands for it and it weight same or less as 1 handed in that way + those 1 handed guys got distraction, shield; last thing, if we attack at same time or little difference, why we don’t both hit each other where is logic that target that first attacked only got the hit ? I mean swords are already in the air going down to a target how tf he cancel attack while weapon is in the air ? Maybe kick can move attacker from you so he can’t reach, but in other ways both weapons should hit the target, as me or my enemy can’t pull out block while swinging weapons at same time neither avoid hit.
I don’t know who are your servers providers but they suck, hard. I never saw in any game (I played over 70 online games where ping is important) that anything except downloads can interrupt ping, but this servers omg, my brother watches YT, it goes from 50-60 to 150, even I checked my ping on provider page and it was on 33-45. I tried on other games (valorant, OW) to rise ping by connecting 7 devices on WIFI on 3 was netflix on 2 was twitch on 1 was game on last one YT there was only 10-15 ping rise, in Chivalry it was unplayable and it would disconnect me from server… In Chivalry ping is important as seconds matters when you want to hit target, this is must fix asap thing, I’m not the only one who QQ about this, in every server I entered it has at least 5 to 10 people with same problem.
Those are just suggestions, I don’t know how you want your game to be played as, or what this community want; I just wrote my opinion and what I would do. My apologize If my English is bad, it isn’t my native language.
